"Who even still plays these games?" Wonwoo grumbles, hands gripping the sink as he hangs his head low, deliberately avoiding the other person in the cramped bathroom with him.
"Middle schoolers?" The other man leans casually against the wall, watching his sunbae internally stress over the silly game they were forced to play.
"I swear once we're out of here, I'm punching those idiots myself."
"But Wonwoo hyung..."
Wonwoo straightens his back a little and meets the younger one's gaze through the reflection of the mirror.
"What?"
"They're not gonna let us out here if we don't do anything, you know?"
Wonwoo sighs, knowing exactly how this game works. But he really doesn't want to play along. He turns around to face the tall lad and takes a step closer, leaning in to whisper in his ear.
"Mingyu, if you think about it, we really don't have to do anything." His eyes drift toward the window above the tub, subtly hinting that they could just hop out and call it a night.
Mingyu simply laughs at Wonwoo's dilemma, finding it endearing that Wonwoo truly cared about something so trivial.
"I know these things don't faze you much, but to me, I'd be thinking about this all week. Maybe even until the next one." Wonwoo's eyes were pleading, silently asking Mingyu for help to escape this ridiculous game he really didn't want to play.
"Hyung, it's just me. You don't have to worry so much."
Wonwoo steps back, leaning against the sink, sighing as he runs a hand through his hair. He bites his nail, anxiety creeping in. "That's exactly why this is bothering me so much. It's because I'm in here with you. I see you like a younger brother. I wouldn't care if I were in here with some stranger."
Mingyu's expression hardens, the smile slipping as he takes in Wonwoo's words. "So you'd do it with someone else?"
"Yes! Dang it, why did they even lock the door?"
Mingyu's gaze remained fixed on Wonwoo, his jaw tightening at the thought of his sunbae kissing someone else in this dimly lit bathroom. The idea didn't sit well with him at all. He cleared his throat and took a few steps toward Wonwoo.
The bathroom was small, and it only took Mingyu about four steps to close the distance between them.
Now standing right in front of Wonwoo, who had buried his face in his palms, panic visibly taking over his body, Mingyu softly called out, "Hyung."
Wonwoo slowly lifted his head, startled to see Mingyu so close.
"What?" he murmured, voice barely above a whisper.
Mingyu tilted his head, a quiet resolve in his eyes as he reached out for Wonwoo's face. "Let's just get this over with, hm?"
Wonwoo stood frozen, his feet seemingly glued to the floor as he watched Mingyu's hand inch closer.
He shivers as soon as Mingyu's cold fingers make contact with his skin, the sensation making him want to run for some reason. "Mingyu, what are you doing?" Wonwoo asks, one hand pressing down on Mingyu's, pulling it away from the side of his face.
"Playing a game," Mingyu replies simply, pulling his hand from Wonwoo's and then gently wrapping it around his, bringing it to his lips. He places a soft kiss on Wonwoo's palm, then grazes the tip of his nose against Wonwoo's wrist, trailing further up the length of his arm, pulling him closer as he does.
Wonwoo coils up, his entire body stiffening as he watches Mingyu shift into someone he can't recognize. The dim lighting, coupled with the scent of alcohol, makes it hard for him to see the usual Mingyu inside the person standing before him now. The man is showing an entirely different persona, one that makes Wonwoo feel uneasy, especially in such a tight space.
