It took almost a solid month straight of detours and driving to get to Noah's home town, and it was now mid February. The only reason it didn't take longer was because your group still had enough food and water rations, at first. That only lasted the first two weeks before you all had to scavenge and hunt for food again. The gas that you'd found at the car lot also saved a tremendous amount of time, until it ran out too. Though the fire truck finally fucking died a week into the trip. It just never started back up one morning, even after Daryl, Aberham, Glenn, Rick, and Shane tried for two days to get it running again. It was a tight squeeze in the van for a whole three days after that, until y'all drove through a town. There, Abraham found an older, 90's model, baby blue ford truck to hot wire.  Personally you thought Abraham was gonna tie Eugene to the roof rather than let him ride in the truck with him, Rosita, and Gabriel. He didn't though, just put him all the way in the very back of the closed in truck bed. You did in fact laugh a bit at the fact that Abraham practically put Eugene in the trunk, but it wasn't not deserved. Eugene definitely didn't complain either. If anything he was just relieved that you hadn't slit his throat yet, and that he was still tagging along. Though you were growing worried that either Daryl, Shane, or Carol was going to kill him before you could find a reason too. All three of them could not let go of the bus sabotaging, and it was obvious that they damn near hated him as much as you did. Either way, Rick said he could stay, if he could handle the pressure of being so disliked within the group. You were kinda impressed that he was handling it as well as he was, and even more impressed that Rosita was trying to show him how to survive without being coddled. A part of you thought she'd be the one to hate him the most, but for some reason she stepped up and tried to help him as much as he would let her.

You had been sleeping in the passenger seat after being up for the last two weeks in a row, on night watch while everyone slept. The only reason you'd fallen asleep was because your husband asked you to at least try to get some sleep. He saw how you were running dangerously low on it, and he did not want you to collapse from exhaustion. So he insisted on driving today, so that your sleep on the road. You had no idea how long you'd been out, but you jerk awake when a walker collided with the brush guard on the front of the truck. Lurching up, you already had your gun yanked out, "Damn- Sorry angel.." Daryl says lowly making your gaze snap over to him. "You're alright.." your husband reassured you, seeing you were still half asleep from being jolted awake. You exhale in relief as you blink away the startleization and sleep. "You can go back to sleep if ya want?" Daryl suggests quietly and you shake your head before you pull up the back of your seat up. "M' up." You breathe still kinda exhausted. "Finally.." Shane grumbles as he stretch's his legs now that your seat had leaned up. "Coulda woke me up, ya big baby." You comment back at him. Shane scoffs sarcastically, "And suffer your husband's wrath? No thanks." Shane says back flatly. You and Rick snicker at, and your husband grins smugly, because Shane had complained about his legs going numb three hours ago. To which Daryl has given him a silent warning glare, daring him to wake you up to move your seat.

You look back at Rick, "How close are we?" You ask him. He lifts his walkie, "Carol." He says into the black box. "Yeah, what's up?" Carols voice calls back from within the van behind. "Ask Noah how close we are, please." Rick says back. There a pause for about a minute before the static crackles through the radio and Rick lifts it up a bit. "He said we're about five minutes out. We're close." Carols voice says coolly. You nod in acknowledgment, "We should hold up in the woods. Send out a few for recon, to check if it's safe. Especially if this place is gone or if it's been taken over by others." You say back to your brothers. Your husband and brothers all nod in immediate agreement. "Carol, Aberham. Let's pull over here." Rick says into the walkie. "Copy that, over." Aberham voice says through the walkie. "Right behind y'all." Carol says back as well. Daryl pulled over and so did the blue truck and van following close behind. You got out with your brothers and husband, meeting up at the van directly behind your truck. Abraham, Glenn, Carol, Maggie, Tyrese, and Michoone got out, while everyone else stayed put for the time being. "What's the plan?" Abraham asks over at you and Rick equally, having really begun to follow the both of you. Rick looks over at you wanting you to take the led on this one, and you nod. "Let's keep the group here for now. A few of us will go to Noah's community on recon. Just see what we see and assess our next move. If it's there still, great, mission accomplished. If it's gone, we'll scavenge for more food and other things we're low on. We see anything suspicious or remotely strange, we'll split. I don't know about y'all but I definitely don't want a repeat of Terminus." You say seriously.
