(A/n ~ Hey y'all, I know it's been well a while and I hope to be able to continue updating my stories. I had some insane shit happen in the last year alone and I lost two people whom I would of walked through hell for. They were incredibly close to me, the kind of people who literally never hurt me my whole entire life. They were my saviors on multiple occasions and without them I'am completely lost.. I thought I'd never write again, but I know that they would want me to continue writing because it makes me happy, allowing me to escape this thing we call reality. After, all I began writing this story in their house. Anyway, I know I've taken forever, but please be patient with me and on a serious note. Fuck cancer and fuck spontaneous accidents. And to the people I've lost, until I see you again. I love you, and I'm sorry I couldn't give you some of my years... God knows I'd of given you the rest of them if I could. I miss you, and I always will..)

You sit up off your cot to see it was about to be sunset soon. 'Did I fall asleep?' You wonder to yourself as you start to get up, before walking out of your tent you look out over the camp. "Hey, me and Carol are cooking dinner for everyone tonight." Lori says up to you as she spots you walking out of your tent. "In the house?" You wonder aloud, curious if Hershel actually approved of this idea, but she smiles a little at your question as she comes up closer to you.

"Yeah, you can help or you stay out here and help keep watch. Andrea is on the RV right now." She tells you knowing you would probably stay outside. You could cook, very well actually but you'd rather not, it wasn't exactly where you were needed. "I think I'll let you guys handle the cooking. I'll hang out here, make sure everything stays safe." You tell her which she just nods agreeing, before swiftly looking down at her feet, obviously nervous.

"Alright, if ya change your mind we'll be inside." She says, glancing back up at you briefly, then starting over to the house again. You thought she was acting super weird, and you were starting to suspect that she could be pregnant but you didn't wanna assume. You rolled your eyes and decided to make yourself busy even though you were supposed to still be taking it easy. So you spent the next thirty minutes gathering sticks and dry leaves for the small fire pit the group had going. You stand up after being satisfied that the wood would catch fire and stay lit when the time came. Your mind was starting to worry, all because Daryl had been gone for a while now. Everyone else had came back hours ago but you hadn't seen your boyfriend since earlier that morning.

He should have been back by now, you think to yourself as you start to walk towards the RV where Glenn had just came out of. He looked upset but then again he was having trouble figuring out Maggie. 'I'll ask him about it later.' You think to yourself as Andrea stands up from her chair staring off in the distance. "Walker! A Walker!" She screams making your heart drop. A walker? Here? This close to the farm!? You jog quickly up to the side of the RV and squint at the tree line to see a single walker stumbling in the distance. It was headed right for the house slowly but surly.

"Just the one?" Rick asks running up beside you while trying to get a good look at it as well. "Yeah, just the one." You answer for her as she looks through the binoculars at it. "Ill bet I can nail it from here!" Andrea says as she scrambles to get her rifle she had up there with her. "No! No, Andrea. Put the gun down." Rick says up at her making you glance over at him strangely. While everyone scrambles to grab something to kill it with since Rick had all the guns put up. "You'd best let us handle this." Shane says as he starts walking past you with a pick axe in his hands. "Shane, hold up. Hershel wants to deal with walkers." Rick says trying to calm everyone down.

This was the first walker you'd seen on the farm and honestly it shouldn't of been able to even get this far. The fact that it had made you all the more glad you'd taken your small hand gun and had it concealed. Something like this was bound to happen eventually, but you didn't understand why Rick wouldn't just let him deal with it. "What for, man? We got it covered." Shane says looking from you to Rick obviously thinking the same thing you were. "Yeah, It's not like Hershel will be out here in time anyway." You add agreeing with Shane and starting to follow him out to the field despite Ricks expression telling you both no.
