Everyone freezes staring at in awe of that bright, blinding white, holy light. It honestly looked like what you imagined heavens gates possibly did. Daryl's grip slowly loosened on you before he releases you. The second your back fully in the ground, you snap out of it. "Come on!" You shout while looking back at everyone as they ran past you, and into the white light. You wait for Daryl to start running beside you before you run in after everyone. The second your inside, your gun is up, and ready to fire if whoever let you in tried anything stupid. "Hello?" Rick calls out cautiously while looking around and your eyes snap to movement at the top of the stairs to your right. It was a man, who also had a gun similar to yours. Except his was older than yours and definitely needed a cleaning as it was dull. Still, you point your gun at his forehead. "Hello?" The man says back just as cautiously while looking at all of you as calmly as he could muster. He was obviously nervous though, and lacking in good sleep as he looked disheveled as all Hell. You noticed how he didn't point his gun at you guys, but that wasn't gonna make you drop your aim. "Anybody infected?" He asks looking from you to Rick. "One of our group was. He didn't make it." Rick tells him, and he nods slowly looking to you again. You eye him coldly silently telling him that you would and could drop him with ease from your position. He just looks back at Rick, "Why are you here? What do you want?" He asks suspiciously, wisely looking back to you.
"A chance." Rick answers honestly, and the man looks at everyone individually again before looking down. Obviously contemplating what he was gonna do. He was going to let you all in if he valued keeping his brains in his skull. "You all submit to a blood test. That's the price of admission." He says and you nod a little bit in agreement. "We can do that." You say lowly, slowly lowering your gun from your aim on his face. "Alright- grab anything you might need. Once those doors close they won't open again." The man says, and you all gather anything else you needed from the RV and vehicles before he told someone named Vi to seal the doors again.
He lead you all to a small elevator, and you all crammed yourselves into the small space. Packing in right like a bunch of sardines in a little silver tin. Your back was right up against Daryls chest, and you could feel his almost calculated breath on your head. It made you blush as you started thinking of all the things you could do in this elevator if there was nobody else in there with you. The thought alone had you shifting your weight. Rick, the man, and Carl were at the front. "Rick Grimes." Your twin brother says to the man in low introduction. "Dr. Edwin Jenner." He responds simply. So, he was a scientist then, made sense. "Doctors always go round' packin' heat like that?" Daryl asks, trying not to think about your body flush up against his front. The feeling of your body up against him, was making him hard. But it was the slight panic of his pants tightening almost uncomfortably that had him sorta praying that you didn't notice. Especially because you'd shifted your weight and damn near brushed right up against what he was afraid would poke your back if you decided to lean back farther for whatever reason. "There were plenty lying around, so I familiarized myself." Jenner responded, making you tense and cut your eyes over at him. "Thought you look harmless enough." Jenner says gesturing to you and Daryl though you couldn't tell who he gestured too. Your jaw ticks in utter annoyance at that. "Except you," He adds looking at Carl, "I'll have to keep my eye on you." He says in a light joking manner at your nephew, which makes Carl smile.
After a few seconds more the elevator, the doors finally opened, revealing a long hall way lined with doors. "Welcome to zone 5." Jenner says, leading everyone down the halls and into a huge circular room with rows of computers facing a large screen. It was empty people wise, making it seem very strange and surreal. He must be the only one left. That reveals didn't make sense to you, but you shook it off. Simply relived he let you guys in and didn't let the walkers rip all of you apart. You all walk down a set of different halls while Jenner informs all of you that the housing system wasn't up and running. The reason? To save as much energy as possible. "Are we under ground?" Carol suddenly asks from in front of you. "Are you claustrophobic?" Jenner asks her, and you look back slightly at Daryl who was still behind you. "A little..." Carol admits, as you turn back around with a blush, because he was definitely staring at you again. "Try not to think about it." Jenner suggests before telling you guys that the couches were comfortable, and that there were spare cots if needed in the closets. He also asked that everyone go sparingly on the hot water. Hot water.. you were gonna enjoy that. You watch everyone set their stuff down in front of room doors to claim them, before following Jenner into an empty room with a table to take blood. You set you stuff down at the last room available, realizing you were gonna have to share with someone. Secretly you hoped it would be Daryl. You turn around to see him debating where to set his stuff and you grin slightly at him. He glances at you with his curious blue eyes, just trying to figure out what you were thinking that had you looking at him like that. "Wanna share?" You ask with a grin. He blinks, a bit surprised, but quickly shrugs it off. Setting his stuff down beside yours before standing up looking down at you.
