You slowly came to your senses. Your head was still aching, but it was finally getting better, as the sharp throbbing had soothed into a dull, almost ignorable inconvenience in the back of your head. You kept your eyes closed still as you listened to the quiet, tinkering sounds and hums coming from the other side of the room.

Your nose filled with the smell of gasoline and dirt, but it was a welcoming, nice combination of smells that made up a sweet scent inside your mind. When you finally forced your eyelids open, your gaze fell onto Rei's figure.

He was sitting by a desk, working on something. Above his head, there was a shelf, filled with old books, pictures, and hand-written notes. He always liked to write down what he learned about... Your lips curled into a sleepy smile as you stretched and greeted him.

"Morning, handsome..." you said casually as you yawned, and that startled the boy who dropped the wrench from his hands. He immediately moved to stand up in his surprise - only to bump into the shelf above his head.

The sudden combination of noises made you flinch and you finally snapped out of... of whatever state you were in just before.

You sat up like a spring as you covered your lips with your hands and your eyes widened. You felt your face getting hot in your embarrassment. Where the hell did that even come from??

Well, you knew it was from your dream... But why had it become harder and harder to separate what was real and what wasn't, lately?

"Ouch..." Rei whispered as he gathered his tools from the ground and looked at you with a confused smile. "I need at least one bouquet and a dinner before I can get to this level," he joked awkwardly and you now covered your whole face with your hands, to hide yourself from his eyes as much as you could...

"Please don't," you grunted in your embarrassment. Your mind was filled with memories that surely didn't belong to you... And so many of those memories were way too intimate... And you hated it...

But you also remembered Ekko... It was just a small, fading picture of you talking with him, yet it still made your heart ache because at this point you were sure you weren't simply just dreaming... It wasn't possible... You remembered things you shouldn't even know about.

Like the little childhood scars of Rei, who you, until yesterday, didn't even know existed. And now you knew where to look for birthmarks along his body only the boy should know about...

"I'm sorry..." You tried to forget about the memory of his hands wandering along your body but it wasn't easy as it was way too vivid. "I don't know what's happening to me..." you mumbled under your nose, feeling more and more lost with each passing second.

"Where are we?" You asked as you finally gathered yourself to look around. You were in a small premise - just big enough to fit the bed you were sitting on and a desk along the opposite wall comfortably. There was also a small cupboard and a door leading to an even smaller kitchen.

There wasn't much light, only a small oil lamp was lit at the corner of the table, that the boy had been sitting at before you woke up. But you were grateful for the semidarkness as it helped you hide your embarrassment...

"Well," Rei itched the back of his head uncomfortably. "It's my place... You blacked out and I had no idea where else I could take you..." he explained and you furrowed your brows.

"How long have I been passed out this time?" You asked as you immediately thought about how you promised your brother you'd come back soon.

"For a whole day, at least," Rei replied and your eyes grew twice their sizes. Fuck. Neo was probably way too worried by now. "I fixed your... what's this? Aero glider? - while you were out," the boy added as you placed your bare feet onto the ground.
