Will you miss me when I'm gone?

•Chapter 19•

*time skip one month later *

I wake up and I feel like I'm going to be sick. I run to the bathroom and throw up.

"Mara are you okay?" Preston asks concerned.

"Go to the drug store and pick up a pregnancy test." I say sternly.

He gets dressed and leaves.

I clean myself up and think about life would be with a child. I smile and throw myself on the bed.

(Preston's POV)

I jump in the car and smile. Mara might be pregnant. I'm so happy. I park my car outside of the drugstore and walk in. I grab a test and walk over to the cashier. She gives me a weird look.

"Are you the one who's pregnant?" She asks

"Yes. I'm already showing a little bit" I say sarcastically and rub my belly.

"Congratulations...."

"I'm joking, my girlfriend might be pregnant."

"Oh okay, I was really confused for a second."

She rings up the test an I start to leave.

"Good luck!" She says

"Thank you!" I say back.

I jump in the car and drive home.

(Mara's POV)

I wait impatiently for Preston to come home. There are so many thoughts going through my head. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant but I just want to make sure. I hear the door open. Preston runs into the room.

"Here" he says handing me the box.

I look up and smile at him. He kisses me and I run into the bathroom. I put my phone timer for 5 minutes.

It dings.

I can't look at it. I'm too nervous. I walk out to Preston and he's on the couch looking stressed as ever. His head snaps.

"I can't look at it can you?" I ask him holding out the test.

He takes it and his face lights up. I start to tear up. He hugs me and I sob into his chest.

"I can't believe it. I'm going to be a dad." He says.

"I'm going to be a mom." I laugh.

"Should we tell your mom the news?"

I smile and nod. He wipes away my tears and we get in the car.

We Arrive at my moms house and we walk in.

"Mom! Preston and I have some news!" I say throughout the house.

"What is it?"

"Sit down" I say.

We sit down and Preston takes my hand.

"I'm pregnant." I say.

My mom gets Ecstatic. She stands up and hugs me.

"How far are you along do you think?" She asks.

"About a month." Preston says rubbing my stomach.

"I'm so happy!! If you have any questions at all just give me a call!"

"Okay. I have to go tell Sav now. I'll talk to you later"

I hug my mom and we leave.

"You don't understand how happy I am right now Mara." Preston smiles.

"I am too." I lean over and kiss him on the cheek.

We arrive at Savannas house and knock on the door.

"Hey" savanna says.

"Hi we have something to tell you." I say taking Preston's Hand walking in.

"I have something to tell you too"

"You go first" I say.

"No you go first."

"Let's say it at the same time?"

"Okay."

"Im pregnant!" We both say.

"OH MY GOD" I yell.

"CONGRATS!" She yells.

"I THOUGHT YOU COULDN'T HAVE KIDS!?"

"I THOUGHT SO TOO!"

"OMG HOW FAR ARE YOU?"

"ABOUT A MONTH! WHAT ABOUT YOU?"

"MONTH!"

We both scream. I look over at Preston and Lachlan and they're bro hugging. Preston and Lachlan walk over to us.

"Our children are going to be best friends okay?" Lachlan laughs.

"Okay." I giggle.

Preston hugs me and Lachlan hugs Savanna.
