"Yeh need to keep quiet an' keep yerself covered with that cloak. Got something ter show yeh." Hagrid said as Hally followed closely behind him— skillfully hidden under her invisibility cloak.

Her stomach turned as she wondered if she should have even shown up tonight. She was supposed to be meeting with Sirius at one in the morning and it was already half past eleven.

Sirius had written her again thanks to Hermione's interference all those weeks ago.

He was insistent that they speak and it didn't appear as though he was going to take no for an answer— so reluctantly, she agreed.

Not only were her nerves getting the best out of her because she was concerned about Snape finding out that she had been secretly talking to Sirius and also, going to meet with him; but now she also had to worry that she was going to miss the meeting with him all together as Hagrid drew them further into the forest.

"Hagrid, I'm supposed to be meeting someone soon I have to—" an ear-piercing roar and what looked like a ginormous bonfire up ahead of them halted her whinging.

Fear rushed through her veins as a group of what appeared to be at least a dozen men started shouting and more flames could be seen through the trees.

Her feet continued following the commotion until they came upon a clearing.

She was met with the sight of four fully grown dragons that were each surrounded by enclosed fences of steel and plank wood. She prayed that the cages were warded well enough to prevent any of them from breaking loose as she looked up at Hagrid's mesmerized face.

"Ain't they beautiful ?" He said softly in the direction that he assumed Hally was standing in.

She plugged her ears momentarily as one dragon let out a deafening roar. "No. They're not." Her hands dropped back to her sides as she sniped pointedly. Hally felt as though someone had thrown a large bucket of ice water over her head at the reality that the dragons were most likely here because they were apart of the first task.

Her legs started to shake as she watched the group of men go around and yell, 'stupefy !' at each individual dragon; collapsing them into calmness before sleep started to take over.

"I was talking ter Ron's brother Charlie earlier who told me that yeh hav' ter get past one of them during the first task.' Hagrid whispered quietly. 'I know we ain't suppose' ter tell yeh but I figured yer already at a disadvantage being so much younger than the rest of the champions."

Hally swallowed her saliva harshly as it felt like it was getting stuck on the way down. "Yes... thank you." She replied as she wondered if Ron had seen his brother and known about this. If so it was incredibly cowardly on his part to not give her some kind of a heads up— despite them not being on speaking terms at the moment. Her safety should have surpassed his pride. It really made her start to reevaluate their whole friendship.
