It was only a few short days of celebrating being tied in first place with Cedric Diggory before a small brown owl appeared during breakfast on the day before their Hogsmeade trip with a letter for her from Sirius; quickly putting an end to all of her short lived relief.

The prospect of meeting up with her godfather had slipped her mind with all of the overwhelming anxiety of the second task but now that the task was done and the third and final one wouldn't be taking place until June twenty fourth, Hally had more than enough free time to start panicking about Snape finding out about this.

This particular letter didn't drag on like his previous ones though, it was just simple and to the point.

'Be at stile at end of road out of Hogsmeade (past Dervish & Banges) at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Please bring as much food as you can, with love- Pads'

"I cannot actually believe he's back in the area." Hally muttered to Hermione and Ron who were each sitting across from her, all the while crumpling the letter up and shoving it into the pocket of her robe.

"At least there aren't any dementors around this year to perform the kiss on him." Ron trailed off while shovelling a disgustingly large forkful of pumpkin pancakes into his mouth.

Hally shot a glare in the ginger boys direction. "Nice Ron, cheers mate,' she lifted her glass sarcastically, 'your compassion makes this so much better." Ron shrugged at her in aloofness before he went back to eating in silence.

Hermione leaned further over the table until her hair almost dragged through the syrup on top of her plate. "It'll be fine Hally, we just need to get through double potions today and then we'll grab him some extra non-perishables from the kitchens later." She whispered after looking around to make sure that no one was paying any attention to their conversation.

Hally rolled her eyes while taking a quick sip of her pomegranate juice and placing her cup down. "Well that reminder cheered me up— four hours of potions with Malfoy. This day just gets better." She said flatly.

A while later when they all arrived in the corridor leading to Snape's classroom Hally's stomach dropped as she noticed Draco Malfoy and his whole posse of inbreds huddled around the door seemingly waiting for them.

A voice broke through as they got closer. "Granger— Potter, have you two had a chance to read the newest Witch Weekly ? I think you'll both really enjoy it." Pansy Parkinson snickered as her ugly pug face appeared in front of them from behind Goyle's back.

The magazine was then thrown at them as the crowd of them started laughing and moving into the classroom.

Hally had been watching Malfoy out of the corner of her eye and observed that he seemed almost annoyed at being apart of the group of hagglers but still stayed silent nonetheless.
