The club meeting ended about an hour ago, so you had a good amount of time to work on the mural before practice had let out. A good two hours at least. And you did amazing progress. It was pretty much done.

You decided to focus on 'love and peace,' figuring that it would be a good message to keep in mind for everyone. You painted the peace symbol, first and foremost, with doves and hearts surrounding it. You painted rainbows to symbolize hope and wellbeing and 'there's always a rainbow after a storm.'

Maybe you should start listening to your paintings more.

But the progress you made was almost impossible. Just yesterday there were random colors splattered on the wall, and today it all came together in a matter of a hour. If there was one thing you liked about yourself, it was your talent and how quick you were about it. No one could deny you of that.

Now that you were looking at it, it did seem a little... girly. There was a lot of pink, but there was some blue too! Man, when did you start criticizing your work so hard? You never before. You did it last night, too, with your painting of Erza. What was going on with you?

You decided to stand up against the opposite wall, and look at it, looking intently at anything that caught your eye. Nothing did. That was good, that means there was no mistake. But something was missing, and you couldn't place your finger on it.

It was driving you crazy. What was it? It was missing that sparkle you usually saw in your work, one that you prided yourself in. Where the hell was it?

"Argh!" You groaned in frustration sliding your back down the wall.

The mural was fine, but that's all it was to you. Just fine. Was it because you had to limit yourself? Was it because you didn't have absolute creative freedom? What was it? It was entirely frustrating.

You were taken out of your thoughts when you heard your phone 'ding,' the ringing bouncing through your head. You looked at it, and an immediate smile ran across your face shamelessly.

He really was sweet. Too sweet for his own good. Or maybe he was just being nice and had human decency. Either way, you were grateful for it.

And it gave you twenty minutes to figure out what the hell was wrong with the mural.

The longer you stared at it, the slower time seemed to go, and you couldn't find what was wrong. Everything was perfect, so why didn't it seem so?

You decided to start to clean up, the twenty minute time limit almost up. But still, you were unsatisfied with what you produced.

When you were done cleaning up, Sting had arrived with Rogue right behind him, carrying both his and Sting's things, Natsu, Gajeel, Lucy and Levy.

"Oh Y/n!" Lucy called out for you, as they all turned down the hallway to meet you. You waved to them, and looked at the mural one last time. You still couldn't figure what was wrong with it.
