It was obvious that you and Sting had gotten closer, the whole school seemed to have noticed. The two of you had been hanging out with each other more, and that's when people started to assume. Sting would walk with you to class, you would both eat lunch together, you two were doing exactly what you guys said you'd do: get to know each other better. And as a result, you also got to know his friends a bit better too. Yukino, Rogue, Rufus and Orga seemed to really enjoy you, and always voiced how great you seemed for Sting. It put a lot of pressure on you to eventually be a good girlfriend, but that's something you've wanted for the past three years. You've wanted to be with him, and now it seemed like you finally had a chance. Your hopes were way up, and you tried to bring them back down. You still had a hard time believing that Sting, of all people, would want to get to know you better in a romantic way.
On this Friday morning, you were with Lisanna by your lockers. You were at school earlier than usual because Lucy had a meeting for one of her clubs that morning. Luckily, Lisanna agreed to also come in earlier to hang out with you, and talk about your new 'relationship' with Sting.
"Are you guys dating yet?" Lisanna asked, probably for the third time this week.
"No, we're just getting to know each other, we're taking our time." You couldn't help but smile. "And besides, I'm not getting my hopes up."
"But he seems to really like you! Why wouldn't you get your hopes up?!"
"I don't know, I—"
"You better not speak badly about yourself. If you plan on it, you can stop talking right now." She scolded you, and you did just that. You stopped talking. Lisanna, wearing a smug look, stuck her tongue out at you, and you stuck yours out right back, and after, the two of you laughed. However, it didn't last too long before you felt a hand on your shoulder and you almost jumped out of your skin.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Sting said with a small smile. "I'm surprised to see you this early. Good morning."
"Good morning." You smiled back, trying to come back down to earth after the slight scare. "Lucy had a club meeting this morning, so I had to get here early too."
"That just means I get to spend more time with you." He smiled even wider. "So, what are we talking about? Me?"
"No."
"Yes."
Both you and Lisanna looked at each other, but you wore more of a glare than she did. Sting laughed, and eventually the hand that was placed on your shoulder moved in a way to where his whole arm was draped over your shoulders. You pretended not to notice, but you felt like you were screaming on the inside. Lisanna kept a cool demeanor in front of you and Sting, but she was also screaming on the inside for you.
"Are you still coming to game night tomorrow?" Sting asked you, turning his face towards you. You turned to look at him, and your faces seemed dangerously close.
"Uhm, yeah, I think so." You nodded slightly. "Who is going again?"
"It'll be me, Rogue, Rufus, Orga, Yukino and Minerva."
"Oh... right, Minerva..."
"You don't have to worry about Minerva. She's actually looking forward to meeting you."
"What?"
"What? You think that I don't talk about you to my friends?" He said with a small laugh.
"I mean— I just figured that—"
"Be nice to yourself." Lisanna scolded you before you could finish your sentence, and then looked at Sting. "You might have to remind her to be nice to herself."
