You avoided Sting the rest of the day. You couldn't face him, not after that. You just couldn't. How were you supposed to? You felt like the world was crumbling at your feet, with every single step that you took. You were walking on eggshells, a little piece breaking off the second your toes hit the ground. It was hard to avoid it. This sinking feeling, and the feeling like you were so close to walking off a cliff. Couldn't have Lucy said something to you in private? And now everyone knew, at least that little group did.

During lunch, you hid in the art room with Lisanna. She would try to comfort you, but it wasn't helping. "I'm sorry, Y/n." She said with a small smile.

"Sting definitely thinks I'm weird now."

"You don't know that. I mean sure, he seemed kinda shocked, but—"

"But nothing. I got what I wanted for a day, just for it to be taken away." You covered your face with your hands, trying not to cry.

"I don't think it's over just yet. I'm sure Sting would like an explanation, and once you give him that, then it'll be—"

"No, Lisanna. It's definitely over."

Lisanna frowned, and rubbed your back until she got a text message.

UKNOWN

Is Y/n okay? It's Yukino, btw.

Hey, I'm not too sure, honestly.
I've never seen her this upset.

Yukino

I feel so bad. Where are you
guys?

I wouldn't try and come find her just
yet. She's very upset.

She's convinced that Sting is  weirded
out.

He's worried about her.

He's actually been trying to find
her. He's good at finding things,
not to sound creepy, haha😅

Just as Lisanna was going to send a message, you both heard the doorknob of the art room jiggle. "Y/n? Are you in there?" Sting's voice echoed through the door. "You're gonna have to talk to me at some point! We see each other next period!"

You got up from your seat and hid in the closet, leaving Lisanna to do whatever she wanted. And what did she want? She wanted to open that door. And she did just that.

"Hey." Lisanna greeted him. "She's pretty upset about what happened, so please be understanding and—"

He made his way by her, and looked around the room. You were nowhere to be found. Until he looked at the closet, and saw it slightly ajar.

"She's in the closet, isn't she?" He asked. He didn't have to, he knew.

"No..?"

"Can you give us a minute?" Sting asked. Lisanna sighed, and nodded, leaving the room. When she did, he opened the closet door, sat down next to you, and closed it again.

Your knees were to your chest, your face on top of your knees. You couldn't face him. You couldn't.

"Look at me." He said. You ignored him. "Y/n."

"I... can't." You said softly, sniffling. God, why were you crying over this?

"Please don't cry." You ignored him. Him saying that just made tears flow more. "Y/n..."
