The next day at school, you spilled all of the details to Lisanna, including that fact that Sting had noticed the difference in the way that you talk to him versus Rogue. You played it off as potentially Sting just being super observant, but you and Lisanna came to the conclusion that he wasn't the type. Maybe he also had a secret crush on you. It was the blind leading the blind, and your best friend feeding into your delusions. If your best friend wasn't going to do it, who was?
"But you had fun?" Lisanna smiled at you.
"Surprisingly, yeah. A lot of fun."
"See what can happen when you listen to me?" Lisanna playfully hit your shoulder. You both laughed, but stopped instantly and let out a small scream when you felt someone out an arm around your shoulders.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya!" Sting laughed a bit.
"I-It's fine." You exhaled quickly, somewhat relieved it was only him. But then you would hear a smack, and Sting would pull back away from your shoulders.
"Ow, what was that for?" He rubbed his shoulder. You turned around and saw all of his posse; Rogue, Rufus, Orga, and Yukino. It was Yukino that had hit him.
"You can just go around scaring people like that! She looked terrified!" She yelled at him.
"I didn't mean to, and I said I was sorry! You forgive me, right, Y/n?"
"Uh, yeah, I forgive you." You said quickly. You felt incredibly embarrassed, and a little uncomfortable now that you were in the presence of Yukino. Luckily, Lisanna was still with you, so if things got too bad, you had her to fall back on.
"Oh, you don't know Rufus, Orga or Yukino, right? Guys, this is Y/n. She's Lucy's younger sister." Sting smiled as he introduced you.
"Oh, your Lucy's sister? She's always mentioned you, but I didn't know what you looked like." Yukino smiled. "I'm Yukino, and I'm sorry about Sting scaring you. He really had no sense of personal space."
"It's nice to meet you. And uhm, it's okay. It didn't really bother me." You tried laughing it off. But you were really uncomfortable. And Yukino could tell. She saw the hint of red on your face, and saw how nervous you were. She was no stranger to that look. She knew the look very well. Being friends with Sting for so many years, she recognized the look that you shared with so many other girls at the school. She offered you a smile, and giggled a bit.
"You should hang out with us sometime, Y/n. You seem nice." Yukino said, and then looked at Lisanna. "You too."
"Oh, uhm—"
"We'd love to, thanks!" Lisanna answered for you.
"Of course!"
"But Lisanna, I have—"
"You can take a break from the mural for one day." Lisanna waved you off. "Come on, it's fun to make new friends, right?"
"I mean, I guess so, but—"
"It's settled, then!" Sting smiled proudly. "We'll see you at lunch, starting today!"
"Oh, I just remembered." Lisanna hit her forehead. "I have to meet big brother Elf at lunch. But Y/n will still go!"
"Lisanna!" You scolded her.
"Don't worry Y/n, I promise we don't bite." Yukino laughed a bit. "You'll have fun with us."
"I don't—"
"Take care of her for me, will you, Yukino?" Lisanna smiled a bit. Yukino nodded, and took your hands in hers.
"You'll be okay, Y/n." Yukino smiled.
"Uhm... o-okay..."
"She's pretty shy, Yukino. Maybe you shouldn't be all that close to her." Sting suggested, his voice not as loud as it usually was.
"You had no problem being close to her earlier, Sting. Maybe you're just jealous." She turned her head towards him.
"Jealous?"
"Mhm! I think you're jealous. It's obvious Y/n likes me more than you."
"Are you kidding me!? Of course she likes me more! Don't you, Y/n!?"
"I— I— uhm—"
"Leave her alone, guys. She's very uncomfortable right now." Rogue defended you.
"Thank you, Rogue." You sighed out of relief.
"Alright fine. But of course she likes me more, I met her first." Sting playfully stuck his tongue out.
"Well with that logic, she should like Rogue more." Rufus, the man with the long blond hair, chuckled a bit. "You did have a class with her, yes, Rogue?"
"Yes, about two or three years ago."
"Then I have you all beat!" Lisanna smiled proudly. "I've been friends with Y/n for years!"
"How did you two become friends?" Yukino asked with a small smile.
"Well... it's kinda hard to um... explain." You smiled weakly.
"No, not really." Lisanna shook her head. "Y/n and Lucy went to this really fancy middle school, and one day Lucy met Natsu, not at school of course, and ended up coming to high school here when it came time, so naturally Y/n followed despite her father's protests, and because Natsu has been a family friend for so long and introduced us to Lucy, Y/n was right there and we became friends!"
"Fancy middle school, huh? How fancy?" Sting crossed his arms with a smirk on his face. The famous one. The one that made you melt three years ago. You wanted to melt now. Simply melt away. You knew it showed on your face.
"Uh— it was— um— not that fancy, haha." You laughed nervously.
"It was a private school, and all the rich kids went."
"Lisanna." You scolded her.
"Y/n is—"
"Lisanna! Enough, please." Your voice got a bit louder than you had wanted it to. You didn't mean to, but there were just some things you didn't want revealed, especially to a new group of people.
"Right, sorry." Lisanna rubbed the back of her neck nervously. "Anyways, point is, Y/n and I have been friends for a long time, about a year before coming here."
"I think that's really sweet." Yukino smiled.
"Hm... I'm still curious about the fancy school." Sting hummed a bit.
"Y/n, maybe you can tell us more about yourself at lunch?" Yukino asked, but before you could answer, the bell rang and everyone was in their way to class. Everyone had waved to both you and Lisanna as they walked pasted you, expect for Sting. He patted you in the shoulder, and gave a small wave to Lisanna.
"I think that went pretty well." Lisanna cheered happily.
"I'm going to kill you."
