You had to make sure you had your story covered. And of course, part of being successful was getting your sister, Lucy, in on the plan. You know, since she has done this so many times before.
The first step was to tell your father, Jude Heartfilia, that you would be staying at Lisanna's the entire weekend. When asked what you would be doing, you simply responded with shopping, baking, watching movies, all of the fun stuff your father deemed as 'girly' and 'respectable.' As long as you didn't plan on going to any parties, drinking alcohol, or doing anything to slander the Heartfilia name, he usually didn't have an issues with you going to Lisanna's.
The second step was to get Lucy in the loop. Once you explained everything to her, she was more than happy to cover for you. You told her about a fake itinerary, and told her just enough detail that would make it sound believable. She would then make it a point to keep it a secret from Natsu.
But that's where a dent in the plan happened.
Sting was already bragging to Natsu about his game night and how you were 'so excited' to participate. When Natsu confronted you and Lucy about it, Lucy made sure to kick some sense into him. She reminded him how father acted around him, and if father knew about Sting, he would surely meet the same fate. It sounded tempting for Natsu, to make Sting go through the same struggles he did, but ultimately listened to Lucy.
The third step was to tell the plan to Lisanna, who of course was more than happy to help you with your devious plan. In fact, she was proud of you for finding a way to spend some time with Sting and his friends. She would do anything to help you.
Now, it was time to put the plan into action.
That Saturday morning, just to have your bases covered, you took some pictures of you and Lisanna doing various activities just in case your father asked what you were up to, what movie you were watching, small things like that. So that when you were at Sting's, all you had to do was send a quick picture that you had already taken. As for your location, that part was easy. Your father didn't have your location. You would think that being the Heartfilia heir, your father would want to keep some kind of tab on you, but he was simply too busy, and he trusted you.
Oh boy, you were going to feel guilty after this one. But you didn't care, not at the moment, anyway.
You sat on the steps of Lisanna's house, waiting for Yukino to arrive. Lisanna was right next to you, giving you a small pep talk. She told you to be yourself, let loose and have fun. She could tell you were nervous, and she was thankful that Yukino would be there with you in case you needed anything.
She was nervous for you about how you would react and interact with Sting. However, she was a little bit more nervous about how you would interact with Minerva. You and Sting already got along and were already on the verge of dating. Minerva? You've never met her, and didn't really know a whole lot about her. And what you did know about her was the fact that she put Lucy in the hospital after a huge fight at the school's outdoor pool.
"Oh, and don't do anything that might make Minerva mad at you." Lisanna told you, her voice gentle. "I need my best friend to come out of this alive."
"You don't think she'd do anything, do you?"
"I doubt she would, but just to be safe..."
"Alright." You nodded, and then noticed a car slowing down in front of her house. "That must be Yukino."
"Do you have everything you need? A charger? Clothes? A signal flare?"
You laughed a bit and playfully hit Lisanna, picking up your bag from the ground. "See you. I'll be back later tomorrow."
"Sounds good. Good luck!" Lisanna smiled and waved to you as you walked away, and joined Yukino in her car.
As you got into the car, Yukino smiled at you and turned down her music for a moment. "Are you excited?" She asked, and you just smiled.
"A bit nervous, but yes."
She reassured you quickly, and then turn her music back up before driving off. The entire way to his house, you and Yukino were screaming the lyrics to the songs. It was therapeutic, and found yourself enjoying the growing friendship between you and Yukino. And Yukino felt the same about you.
And while you love the growing friendship, you couldn't ignore the growing pit in your stomach. The nerves were piling up. And it kept getting worse the closer you got to his house. And when you finally pulled up to his house, it felt like your body was completely taken over by your nerves.
"Oh, looks like Rogue, Rufus and Orga are already here. Probably giving Sting a pep talk." Yukino giggled a bit as she turned off her car. "That gives us a few minutes to talk, too."
"About what?"
"There's no reason to be nervous around Sting. He really likes you."
"Does he? I don't know, I just—"
"Shush! He likes you, trust me. You are all he ever talks about. It's so sweet, honestly."
"Really?"
"Of course! And today is really going to bring you two together. We're going to play some card games, eat some pizza, and overall just have a lot of fun." Yukino assured you. "It's going to be great."
You took a deep breath, and let it out slowly. "Yeah. Okay." You nodded. "It's going to be fine."
"That's the spirit." Yukino smiled, placing a hand in your shoulder. "Now, come on. Let's head in."
You nodded, and opened your car door in sync with Yukino. You stepped out, closed the door, and looked at Sting's house in front of you. There was a sinking feeling in your stomach, but what could you do? Nothing. Nothing other than have fun with your new friends.
"Are you ready, Y/n?" Yukino asked you as she locked her car, and took the first few steps up to Sting's door.
"Ready as I'll ever be..."
