You and Sting got to the mall, and he instantly suggested that you both stop by your favorite art supplies store first. Usually, you would have protested if you were with Lisanna, because you'd spend all your money there first try, but you decided to let Sting take the lead today.
When you walked in, your eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store. Sting couldn't help but smile, thinking that you were absolutely adorable. He made it a point to go through every aisle with you, making mental notes of what you picked out and what you didn't.
He seemed very interested, or at least was trying to be, asking you which brands you liked and disliked, which paints were better for certain things if there were special cases like that, and all sorts of other things. It made you feel... nice, knowing that he was at least pretending to take an interest.
"How often do you come here, Y/n?" He asked you, taking a bottle of paint off the shelf and looking at it.
"Pretty often. I'll come here to get supplies for art club and then some of my personal stuff too."
"I think I remember you saying that you specialize in portraits?"
"Realism in general, but yes, mostly portraits."
"Do you have a favorite model?"
You let out a small laugh. You couldn't tell him the truth, no way. "Sure I do. Every artist has their muse, their inspiration."
"Who's yours?"
"Aha— great question." You got nervous, and Sting could hear it in your voice. He just smiled, feeling a warm feeling in his chest.
"You don't have to tell me." He waved it off.
"Well, I can tell you one of them."
"You have more than one?"
"Mhm... well, I've done portraits for a lot of people, but I definitely have a few favorites. I can tell you one."
"Alright, tell me one."
"Lucy."
"That doesn't count. She's your sister."
"It does too count!" You shouted at him, playfully hitting his arm. He laughed, trying to move away from you. As a result, he bumped into the shelves, the bottles of paint wobbling. One of them just happened to topple over, and fall to the ground. Luckily, it didn't break.
Both you and Sting bent down to pick it up, and ended up bumping foreheads. You both pulled back and stared at each other, and then started laughing. In the end, it was Sting who grabbed the bottle, and almost but it back on the shelf. But as he looked at it closer, he started thinking. He really liked that color blue.
"Do you like this color?" He asked you, handing you the bottle. You took it, and examined it yourself. It was a pretty blue, it was dark like Cobalt Blue, but a tad bit brighter. It seemed electric, which was a strange way to describe a blue, but the manufacturer's must've thought the same. You looked at the name of the color, 'Electric Cosmic Cobalt.'
"Yeah, it's nice, actually."
"Would you use it?"
"Yeah, it would be perfect for some landscape pieces. And maybe some portraits too, depending on undertones and eye colors and such."
"I'm gonna get this for you."
"Oh no, I can't—"
"And in return, I want a painting with this color. Deal?" He smiled, sticking out his hand. You stared for a moment, but who are you to argue?
