Meeting the Family 1

Our plane has finally landed; I was super excited, and I knew that Niall could see how happy I was because I couldn't stop talking about my family throughout the whole flight.

I warned him about Lucan being the protective one; LJ is the one you don't want to get mad, and Jessica was the talkative, stylish one.

Mom was the sweet and innocent one that loves making you feel at home. Niall didn't know anything about Nick since I didn't talk about him.

Our house was full of family pictures, and Nick was in most of them. I just never got the opportunity to tell him.

If he notices the pictures and asks questions, I will politely answer them and tell him all about our happy days as a family.

I knew that my dad was also going to be at the wedding since it was his brother's daughter getting married.

We got out our bags and headed for the door. Before I knew it, I was swept up in a bear hug by Lucan, my feet no longer touching the ground. Niall kept his gaze on us, eyeing our every move.

Lucan finally put me down and reached out for Niall's hand, giving him a big smile.

"Hi, sorry for that. I am Lucan, you must be Niall?"

"Hi, yes, your sister speaks very highly of you." He said with a smile and gave Lucan a firm handshake.

I knew Lucan was impressed by his handshake, he always said you can tell a lot about a man just by a handshake.

"My sister speaks highly of you too man."

I started blushing and tried hiding my face behind my hands. Lucan wrapped his arm around my shoulder and led me to the car.

Niall picked up the bags and hurried to the black Jeep that stood in the waiting area. I took the backseat as Niall drove upfront with Lucan.

I could hear Niall and Lucan making small talk about everything, beer, cars and even girls from time to time.

Lucan could be your best friend or your worst enemy. The fact that he got along with Niall was great.

I enjoyed the view, and I even waved at people that I knew from time to time. We stopped in front of the house, I got out of the car and ran up to mom's side where she was busy planting new rose bushes.

She stood up from her crouched position, wrapping her arms around me. Mom had a smile on her face as big as the ocean. Her smile was contagious, making everyone smile.

We went into the house, the boys removed our bags from the car and placed them at the door.

I walked over to Niall, took his hand and I followed mom to the kitchen, with Niall following right behind me.

She opened the fridge and took out the pitcher of homemade lemonade. She removed four glasses from the cupboard and placed them on the counter.

I filled the glasses half full of lemonade and handed each one a drink. Mom finally stood still, and this was my queue to introduce Niall.

"Mom, this is Niall. This is my boyfriend."

"Niall, this is my mom, Cara." She gave Niall a warm smile and wrapped him up in a hug.

Jessica and LJ weren't here yet, and I had my mom to myself for a while, enjoying each others company.

I grabbed my bags from the bottom of the steps and went upstairs to my room.
