The doctor asked me to lift up my shirt, only until my stomach is exposed. She proceeded to place a dollop of cold blue gel on my belly, before placing the transducer on it, moving it around.

She moved it around in a circular motion until the unmistakable sound of a heartbeat could be heard. She stopped and smiled down at me.

"A nice strong heartbeat, look at how good the rhythm is." She showed us the image of the little beating heart on the monitor.

"This is your baby Zenè and Niall."

Tears formed in my eyes, and I looked over to Niall that was smiling from ear to ear, the happiness evident on his face. The joy he had on his face was indescribable.

The doctor explained to us that the baby was healthy and as far as she could tell that nothing was wrong.

"Would you like to know the sex of the baby?" I looked over at Niall, and both of us nodded our heads.

"Yes, please."

She smiled and moved the transducer, and we could see the whole of our baby.

"Here we are." She pointed at a spot on the monitor.

I just wanted to know if we were having a boy or a girl. I would be happy with either of them, as long as it's healthy. The doctor left the room telling us that she had to get something from the room next door.

Niall and I just stared at the picture in the screen having a little argument about what it would be, but quickly settled down when the doctor stepped back into the room.

She placed the transducer back on my tummy smiling a bit as she heard what we argued about.

"So, you still have not figured it out?"

"I want the baby to be a girl," Niall spoke up quickly.

"No, I want a little boy." I glared at him. Although like I said, I would not mind if it is a boy or a girl.

"Before you grab each other by the throat, let me tell you two what you're having and who has won the game of guessing the gender of the child?"

Niall and I looked at each other, and I nodded my head with Niall following right behind me, and we waited in anticipation to hear who won.

"You are going to be the lucky parents of a..."

"A what?" Niall cut her off in mid-sentence.

It was her turn to glare at him, but the grin on his face melted her heart, and she just started laughing and shaking her head.

"You two just made my day. I have seen lots of parents being happy, but you two take the cake."

We looked at each other and nodded our heads, still laughing.

"You are going to be the proud parents of ... a boy."

I doubled over with laughter at the look on Niall's face.

"And what about a girl?" Niall sat down in the chair behind him and just stared at the doctor. I sat stunned into silence by her revelation.

She finally finished up and gave us both a copy of the photo for safe keeping. I made Niall a deal before walking out of the doctor's room that I would buy him some ice cream to cheer him up.

We arrived at the Gelatorino and got our favorite flavor ice cream. Niall got four scoops, and I only got two, and he once again paid for everything, even if I told him that I would.

We found a quiet table inside, so we could talk about baby names. I already had a few ideas, but this was something we should do together and agree upon.

"Do you want to taste some of my ice cream love?"

"I am fine, thanks." I took a bite of my chocolate chip ice cream.

"Can I taste some of your ice cream please?"

He took a big scoop of my ice cream enjoying the taste of it as he closed his eyes, he always asks for your food and then just take it before you can even say yes.

"So, since we know that we are having a baby boy, we should probably decide on a name for our little peanut."

Niall started thinking about the question while he began wolfing down his ice cream faster than I would a bagel.

He grabbed his head shouting out "Brain freeze." I just started laughing at his antics, making him give me a funny look.

"I thought about it for a while, and I really like the name Brayden. What do you think Niall?"

"I like it, but it's not original. What about Gordon."

"It sounds like a surname."

We both started thinking, as it was too hard so decide on the same name and we had to find the perfect name for our perfect baby.

"What about Aiden?" We both said at the same time.

Niall took out his phone and typed in the name searching the meaning of it, making sure it was perfect.

He read out the meaning of the name. "Aiden is a Gaelic baby name, and it means, 'Little fire, ardent.'"

It was the perfect name for our bundle of joy, and we both agreed on naming him Aiden.
