The priest continued with a few more words of wisdom and asked Ashlee to proceed with her vows. She had a few tears shining in her eyes.
Jessica handed her a tissue and a piece of paper that was scribbled on.
Ashlee gave the bouquet of pink lilies to Jessica, she took the piece of paper and started unfolding it.
She wiped away the tears from her cheek before handing Jessica the tissue.
"How am I going to top that beautiful speech?" Everyone started laughing, but fell quiet when Ashlee started reading
"Michael Brown today I am not only marrying my best friend, but I am marrying the man of my dreams. My prince charming, my one true love. I know we haven't known each other for that long, but you are the best thing that has happened to me in this short amount of time. You had shown me what true love is, the kind of love that my mum and dad had before she passed away, an everlasting love. I know that we are going to be together for a very long time, and I don't want this to end not ever. Forever is not a long time, but with you, it's going to be magical. I can't wait to make more memories with you. We are going to be the couple that makes everyone jealous. One last thing before I end my speech. I love you with all my heart, and I know it won't end until I lay my head to rest."
I was falling asleep on my feet, but I knew that I had to endure it for only a few more minutes. I could see a few people wiping away some tears, Jessica being one of them.
I looked over at Niall, and I could see him and my brothers playing a game of rock, paper, scissors so that no one could see them.
I could see them smiling from time to time, giving each other fist bumps whenever someone won.
The priest's voice brought me back to reality, making me focus on Ashlee and Mike. He kept on talking about how they were the perfect couple that the Lord has put together.
"If there is anyone that object of these two getting married please speak now or forever hold your peace." The pastor spoke loudly making everyone that fell asleep sit up straight.
Mike kept looking at me as if I was the one that had to stop the wedding, but I didn't have feelings for him anymore.
"Good. Shall we proceed? Mike repeat after me."
"I Michael Brown take you Ashlee Madison Carter as my wife for better, for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health all the days of our life."
"I Ashlee Madison Carter take you Michael Brown as my husband for better or worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health all the days of our life."
"What God joins together man must not separate. May the Lord confirm the constant that you have given and enrich you with his blessings."
The priest went on and on, and I could see everyone getting a little bit annoyed.
They finally exchanged rings; I could see some people from the back standing up and leaving the church as the wedding was too long for them.
The bride and groom kissed, and the music started playing. We walked out of the church, waiting outside for the now newlyweds to arrive.
As soon as Mike and Ashlee walked out, the people started throwing rice at them. Everybody laughed, and they cheered as the two ran for the limousine.
"Okay, everyone, you know where to go. The bride and groom will join us shortly, they are just going for their little photo shoot."
We all piled into our cars and left for the reception hall, to have a feast with family and friends.
Lucan and Niall were bothering LJ with all kinds of remarks about his driving skills.
*Stay sweet Xoxo ✌.
