(Y/N) stepped out of the make-shift police station looking even more exhausted than after she'd first emerged from the crater. She cast her gaze to the world around her to find a landscape of scaffolding and construction. Buildings were being put back in place and society was rebuilding again. Soon, it would look as though nothing happened. For a moment, the image of the barren wasteland felt like a dream. It was hard to imagine the bustling city being driven to the ground when, less than twenty-four hours later, it was already getting up again.

(Y/N) was alone on the road. She had no family or friends to greet her for no one knew how long she would be kept in the station. She found herself relieved by their absence. To be alone and calm was a combination that felt foreign to her.

She ran a hand through her matted hair, cringing as her fingers struggled through the knots, and slowly began to stroll down the gaps between the buildings which had yet to be made into functioning roads. Instead, the ground was uneven, soily and dirty. She walked aimlessly through the construction and emerged to an open plain. The ground was left bare meaning it never had any buildings on it. Perhaps a park, she wondered. The ground was a faded brown where moist soil once sat packed but now it was cracked and dry. It took (Y/N) a few minutes of examining her surroundings for her to fully realise where exactly she stood.

It was the park in which she tutored Todoroki. The same park she met Kaminari and Kirishima after she'd woken from her coma. The same park she would often find herself when seeking peace and quiet.

(Y/N)'s lips turned downwards as she took in the reality of the park that once brought her so much joy. She moved slowly further into the open space and let her mind wander to the park's greenery; the way the trees swayed in the breeze; the way the flowers sprouted in the spring; the vibrance of the greens, yellows, reds, purples, and all colours under the sun. Her brows knitted together tightly as she dwelled on the image. She let her gaze fall to the floor beneath her feet and dropped to her knees soon after. She placed her hands on the ground and closed her eyes, forcing the image to brighten with clear clarity. She felt the usual rumble of energy in her chest and harnessed it with such smooth ease that was once so difficult for her yet so natural now. With a strong grip on the weak energy that still had little remnants left under the ground, (Y/N) forced it to amplify and duplicate and pushed it to the surface. As she blinked her eyes open, she was greeted with the comforting green of the thin blades of grass peeking through the ground. They were young and weak. With the lack of water and soil, they were barely alive, but (Y/N) had kickstarted a hopefully flaunting life.

Tears began to spring from (Y/N)'s eyes as pure joy bloomed in her heart. The beautiful result of her power was something jarring and affected her in a way she did not expect. Watching her quirk be so destructive was difficult for her when she tried so hard to construct a narrative of a good person. Now, seeing her quirk displaying something simple and yet beautiful gave her a feeling of calmness and relief.

She had killed Musutafu but now she would give it life.
