"-I expect this assignment to be in by next Friday. I won't tolerate any late submissions. There will be no extensions either. The term has been eventful, but for now, your academics are a priority." Aizawa explained sternly. His voice was dripping with seriousness, so much so that his class all sat straight with unnerved looks on their faces. "And-"
He was interrupted by the door of his classroom slamming open. Hawks stood at the threshold, breathing heavily. He waited at the door for a moment but Aizawa made no effort to move towards him so Hawks was forced to enter the classroom. At the sight of him, the class tensed. Mumbling ensued with a series of questions and absurd conclusions as to why he was present at UA springing into the air with little to no logic.
"Sorry for the interruption," Hawks mumbled with a clear of his throat, his eyes darting to the class before him nervously before looking back upon the hero he wished to speak to. Hawks leaned towards Aizawa and whispered into his ear, his voice low and shallow. None of the students could pick up what he was saying. Aizawa's eyes widened drastically at Hawks' words. This only raised suspicion.
Aizawa pulled away from Hawks and looked to the class. "Give me a moment." He declared, his voice firm but in a different way than before; there was a sense of worry that the most observant students did manage to decipher. Hawks led the way out of the classroom. Aizawa left, but just before he passed through the doorway, he hesitated. He looked at his students with concerned eyes. "Kirishima. With me. Now." He ordered.
Kirishima's brows furrowed. He passed glances to his neighbouring friends before rising from his seat tentatively. He nervously followed Aizawa and Hawks out of the 1A classroom and down the corridor. "What's going on? Am I in trouble?" Kirishima questioned as he scurried behind the two pro-heroes.
"No, you're not in trouble, Kid." Hawks shook his head. He side-eyed Aizawa. "You sure bringing him along is a good idea?" He mumbled, trying to mask his words from Kirishima's earshot but failing to do so.
"Bringing me along to what?" Kirishima prodded. He frowned deeply. He had a feeling that something was wrong, a feeling that had settled on his heart which he didn't like one bit.
Aizawa scowled. "Yes, I'm sure. He deserves to know." He muttered.
The sounds of their footsteps on the floors echoing through the hallway were louder than their voices.
"Have you called the family?" Aizawa asked.
Hawks nodded tensely. "Yes, they're on their way now."
Kirishima's puzzlement only grew with each second that had passed. The thought that it may have concerned (Y/N) passed and went through his head. But it had been weeks, months, since there had been any news on her condition. Hope was futile at this point.
They rounded the corner of a hallway and descended a flight of stairs. They headed straight to the faculty room - not the infirmary.
Hawks entered the room first and Aizawa held back for a second. He turned to Kirishima. "I don't want you to freak out." He warned. "You shouldn't be here in the first place, but I've brought you alone 'cause deep down inside I might be just a little nice." He flashed a sarcastic smile.
