(Y/N) looked upon Tartarus with surprisingly absent eyes. The more she looked at the high-security prison, the more it began to feel as though it wasn't real; the more it began to feel as though this whole world wasn't real. There was a fleeting thought that ran through her head that she was still in her void; that she had imagined everything that had happened in this part of her life and she was still asleep. She didn't dwell on the existentialism of her thoughts considering she wasn't in the best position to be doing so. Instead, she closed her eyes, turned around, and nodded at her two allies.
"I'm headed eastwards." She declared firmly. "I'll make sure to cover the whole east district. Chizome, I suggest you head west so we'll mirror each other. Jin, find a secluded place further south from the way we came so they can't find you easily. Always stay out of their sight. Please."
Jin looked conflicted for a moment, a sudden sheen of worry covering his eyes, before he nodded, wordlessly.
Chizome nodded as well. "Will keep you updated."
(Y/N) frowned. "Thank you..." She muttered, her eyes falling downwards. "Just please don't die." She whispered.
Chizome sighed. "We'll try."
(Y/N) opened her mouth to respond but found she had nothing to say. She had nothing more to prepare for. They were ready. She needed to go. She turned on the balls of her feet and approached the edge of the rooftop.
"Wait." Jin called out.
(Y/N) turned, only to be overwhelmed by Jin barrelling towards her. (Y/N)'s guard shot up but it was instantly lowered as Jin enveloped his arms around her and clutched her to his chest.
"You don't die either." He whispered into her ear, holding her so tightly that she could feel his heartbeat on her temple.
(Y/N) gulped before wrapping her arms around the man; the man who had started all this; the spark that had caused her to do all this; the man who deserved justice for what the world had done to him. She held him close, finding comfort in his warmth knowing that she may very well be lacking it soon in the near future. She slowly pulled away and cleared her throat before looking upwards to meet Jin's eyes.
"I won't." She replied with a confidence even she was surprised by. "I won't die." She repeated, more so to herself than anyone else, reinstating the mantra that made her feel remarkably better. She allowed herself to smile. "Good luck." She nodded. She turned, hopped onto the ledge of the rooftop, and jumped in the air, making slabs to carry her across the buildings on the coast until she felt as though she had travelled far enough.
She landed on another rooftop which was considerably shorter than the tall building she had chosen with her two allies, standing only three stories. She walked tentatively to the edge of the rooftop just as she heard an explosion go off from the direction she had come from. (Y/N) spun to watch a slither of smoke rise into the air from the prison where the walls had been broken and now presumably set fire to. The villains would not move with grace for they had all the power in Japan at that moment; why would they move quietly?
