Friday, September 19, 2014 - after school

Ashton's house

"Welcome to my MTV crib, wanna see where I keep my dirty under wear?" Ashton announces when we walk into his house.

"You're disgusting Ashton" Juliet slaps the back of his head and goes into the kitchen.

"Juliet get me a class of orange juice" I sit down on the couch in the living room with Mackenzie who sits on the two people arm chair instead of the huge couch. Luke then comes to sit beside me. Mackenzie looks disappointed that Luke didn't choose to sit beside her instead. Ashton and Juliet enter together with the one glass of orange juice made just for me.

"Thanks" I say as Juliet hands me the glass.

"So what were you two doing in the kitchen" Luke asks

"Nothing" Ashton says quickly. Before Luke can say anything else, Juliet interrupts.

"So Mackenzie tell us about yourself"

"Wouldn't you want to ask Luke that considering he just came here from another continent?" Ashton sasses.

"He'll get his turn" Juliet rolls his eyes. "Continue Mackenzie". 

"Well, I grew up in New York, I have a little brother named Lucas, and I want to go to Brown University next year."

"Brown? Isn't that a tough school to get accepted to?" Ashton asks.

"I don't know but even if it is, it's always been my dream to go there" Mackenzie tells us.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. My parents have always wanted me to go to Stanford but honestly I've always wanted to go to McMaster with my best friend" I admit smiling at Juliet. She smiles back and grabs my hand.

"My parents think I'm crazy for wanting to go into music, but I can't see myself doing anything else" Luke tells us.

"I think you'd be able to do it Luke" Mackenzie says. The way she looks at Luke makes it so obvious she's into him, but of course he's oblivious.

"Thanks but it's almost impossible to get into the music business" he says sadly.

Juliet groans. "This is such a downer guys let's do something fun"

"What's there to do on a school night?" I ask.

"Ashton, when are your parents coming home"

Ashton checks the time on his phone. "in 2 hours I think, they went to go hang out with Lauren's friend's family with Harry".

"Perfect, Ashton come" She gets up and makes her way to the kitchen with Ashton following close behind.

"What's happening" Luke looks so confused as does Mackenzie.

I shrug. "Honestly, with Juliet anything can happen"

Ashton and Juliet come back carrying 5 beers.

"Juliet, no, it's a school night" I say sternly.

"It's just one round, I promise" Juliet says.

"one round of what?" Luke asks.

"Never have I ever, duh" she says as if it was the most obvious thing ever. "It's just a good way to get to know everyone, y'know. Plus it was getting boring"

"Only one round" I remind her.

"yeah, yeah ok mom" she and everyone else grabs a beer."I'll go first. Never have I ever...had sex with someone 10 years or older than me". Ashton was the only one to drink. We all turn to look at him.
