3.8 "You Have 15 Minutes Left"

"I still can't believe you kept you and Ash a secret for like 3 months" I said to Juliet. We were hanging out in my room. Just the two of us because Ashton and Calum were both busy so we decided to just have a girls night in.

"I'm sorry I didn't know what you would say" she said.

"Did you think I would be against it or something?"

She laughs. "Duh"

"What the heck, why?"

"Dude before Michael and I started dating you literally gave me an hour lecture about how if things go wrong it might ruin our friendship, it could forever change our lives, how you don't want to be in the middle of everything blah blah blah" She rolls her eyes.

I scoff. "That was like five years ago"

She puts her hands up. "Sorry just wanted to spare myself the hour lecture"

I roll my eyes. "Whatever just tell me how it happened" I say giving her my full attention.

She breaks into a huge smile and looks at the ground. "You know that summer party you couldn't go to because you were working that day?"

I had to think a bit. "Oh right that luau thing right?"

She nods. "Ok so then Ashton was the designated driver of the night and we were basically hanging out the entire day. Then a girl came up to him and like obviously they started hooking up so I didn't want to get in the way. Then when I was by myself a guy comes up and obviously I was looking for a little fun too. But then after when I told him he was getting too touchy for my liking he didn't stop. You know about that part and how I had to like kick him in the balls to stop him. So then I went running for Ashton and he was hooking up with that girl so I interrupted, not that I wanted but I mean I was almost raped for crying out loud! Then the girl became all bitchy like "wait your turn, who do you think you are" and then Ashton started defending me and telling her to never talk to me like that ever again. So then I flipped that girl off when we walked away 'cause what a bitch". She laughs. "I told Ashton everything that happened and he just comforted me a lot. After all the crying and such, I don't know I just felt like we had a moment you know. Like the way we looked at each other just changed my entire perspective of him if I only thought of him as a friend or more. But that day was honestly the start of something new between us. After that day we just avoided talking about it but I knew I had to bring it up some time. Like a week after I talked to him about it and he told me he liked me and I told him I liked him but we had to keep it a secret for now. I mean what if we didn't work out like a month later, it would be so much easier for all of us if you didn't know about it so it'd be less awkward"

I nod over every word Juliet says. "Alright that makes sense. I probably would've made it awkward anyway" I laugh.

"But ya that's basically it but now I'm really happy you actually know about us. We can stop kissing in secrecy" She sighs in relief.

"Oh my god" I groan. "I just realized I'm going to be third wheeling from now on"

She laughs. "Oh by the way annual New Years Eve party at Baileys, don't forget"

"It's been like a four year tradition now, of course I'm not going to forget"

She laughs. "So um..Ashton told me Luke's going too. With Adrianna. Are you okay with that?"

"Yea I mean it's a big party. Not like I'm going to end up seeing him out of all people there"

"You're so strong for what you said to him last week you know that"
