Luke's POV
"Dude it was so awkward this morning. I went to go see Hailey at her locker and I forgot that Mackenzie's locker is like right beside hers" I tell Ashton about the events that happened this morning walking to our lunch table.
Ashton laughs. "Current girlfriend and ex-girlfriend drama"
"What, Hailey and Mackenzie drama?" Juliet joins our conversation at our table.
"Nah it's just Luke and Mackenzie drama. Hailey is too nice for anyone to hate" Ashton says. The phone in his hand beeps. "Speaking of Hailey, she says she's coming later or not coming at all for lunch"
"Why?" I ask. I take out my phone to respond to her in the group chat but she doesn't reply. I put away my phone to give her a couple of minutes to answer, she probably just didn't see the text yet.
"It's not Monday, she wouldn't be at her council meeting" Ashton says.
"Maybe Calum finally got her alone" Juliet wiggles her eyebrows
"What'd you just say?" The jealous side coming out of me. Ok it's been long enough I take out my phone to text her in our own private message.
"Chill, I was joking. She said they're 'friends' remember" she responds.
"Ha, that's not what I remember" Ashton adds. My phone vibrates.
Haileycopter <3: I'm in the student council room right now
What the hell what is she doing in there. I reply back right away.
Lukey Hammings: Why are you in there?
Lukey Hammings: Who are you with?
"Guys who's in student council?" I ask
"Why?" Juliet asks not answering my question.
"Hailey says she's in the student council room"
"She's with Calum then" Ashton states.
"Oh my fucking god she's not always going to be with Calum that joke is getting old" I say annoyed
"Calum's president of Student Council dumbass" Ashton retorts.
He's WHAT?
Haileycopter <3: I'm just listening to their meeting
Lukey Hammings: Why? You're in athletic council not student council. Why are you there?
It better not be because of Calum.
Haileycopter <3: Calum wanted to talk to me.
Please tell me there's another Calum in this school.
Lukey Hammings: Calum Hood?
Haileycopter <3: Yeah he and I are friends remember?
Lukey Hammings: That's not what I remember. Get out of there right now
Did I really just quote Ashton in that last text. Nevermind, that's the least of my worries right now.
Haileycopter <3: wtf Luke no
What the hell Hailey. Is she trying to make me jealous on purpose?
Lukey Hammings: Hailey i'm serious come here. right now.
Haileycopter <3: no
That does it.
"Guys, I'll be right back" I put my lunch back into my bag and get up from my seat.
