Monday, February 16, 2015 - after school

Calum's POV

"I need to talk to you"

She glances at me, "What about?"

"I need your help Juliet"

She closes her locker and starts walking ahead. "With?" she asks as I catch up to her.

"Hailey's birthday is in 2 days and I want to make it special"

"You better not be asking me for gift advice, I never help so I make sure I'm always giving her the best gift" 

"No, I'm asking if you could help me set up a surprise party for her on Friday"

She stops walking and looks at me. "A surprise party? Not a bad idea" she approves.

"I was hoping we can have it at her place but I need you to ask her parents and to distract her while I set up after school"

"Sure, I'm in. I'm going over to her place after school so I'll ask her parents tonight"

"Alright thanks text me when you do"

"Mmhmm" she hums in response and was about to leave but I pulled her arm back.

"One last question" I scratch the back of my neck. "Has she talked to you about sex?"

She raises an eyebrow. "She might've, why?"

"Um when I tried Saturday night, she stopped me and told me she wasn't ready. Then I asked her when she'd be ready and then she got pissed at me" I explained

She laughed. "Yea I know, she told me yesterday"

"Then why'd you ask me why?"

"Because I wanted to see you awkwardly explain it" She smiles.

"Did she say anything else to you?"

"She told me the only chance she might actually have sex with someone before marriage is when the moment is so heated that even she can't stop it, but that's only going to be a 1% chance. Sorry Calum"

"No it's fine, thanks. Text me later"

She nods her head and walks again.

1% chance, huh? I smirk to myself and head out to my car.

I wake up to texts from Juliet, Ashton, Luke and Calum all wishing me a happy birthday.

I smiled to myself. I wish I wasn't so exhausted yesterday, I really would've stayed up until midnight waiting until it was officially my birthday. I check Facebook to see many notifications from my friends writing happy birthday on my wall. I give myself a mental reminder to say thanks later today. I continue scrolling down to see the collage Juliet posted for my birthday. I laugh from all of the ugly selfies of me she included.
