3.0 "That's Her Right Now, I'm Going To Go"

Wednesday, November 26, 2014 - morning

Calum's POV

"Ok today is the day when we start operation 'expose Hemmings for the dick he really is and potentially get Hailey to start dating me'"

"Don't you think that operation name is a bit too long and informative?" Michael says. "Maybe it should be like operation 'ehftdhriapghtsdm'"

"Michael what the hell are you even saying?"

"Just choose a better operation name, I don't wanna keep repeating that long ass line"

"Fine just operation expose Hemmings" I roll my eyes.

"Got it, ok now repeat the plan again"

"I'm going go find Hailey and apologize to her for being a dick and ignoring her. Then I'm going to plant an idea in her mind that Luke may be cheating on her with Adrianna. After that's when you come in and tell her the same suspicion that you had about those two. She'll soon get jealous and start to actually believe that he's cheating on her"

"Okay but words aren't going to convince her, we need proof"

"Well I would've gotten to that point if you didn't interrupt me" I glare at him. "Anyway after we plant that idea into her head I'm going to make sure that she ends up catching them together. They always sneak out between periods to 'talk'. She gets awfully close to him and he doesn't do anything, it'll look really bad for him.It's foolproof"

"Oh knock on wood"

..."What?"

"You just said it's foolproof, you may of just jinxed yourself"

"Michael, shut up"

"You have 2 more seconds"

I look at him again and get out of my car. I shake my head as he gets out of the car too.

"You ran out of time" he says.

I don't bother responding and just lock the car with my key remote thing. Michael catches up to me while we walk into the school and talk about something else.

"Wait so when are you going to talk to her?" he asks me.

"Whenever I see her alone. Probably before or after second period when she goes to gym. Luke usually walks her but I'll just wait until he leaves" I explain.

"When am I supposed to talk to her?"

"The day after I talk to her. I might not get the chance to talk to her today so I'll text you later"

"Hey Calum"

"Yea Mike?"

"You know how you were talking about planting the idea of jealousy into her head and all that?"

"What about it?"

"It really reminded me of what Iago did to Othello in 'Othello'. You know the Shakespeare book we read last year." he smiles.

I look at him again and just walk away without saying another word.

"Okay see you later Calum" he calls

"I can't believe I'm friends with him" I mutter to myself.

Hailey's POV

It's already 8:30 and Luke still isn't here. I wouldn't be as worried if he responded to at least one of my texts.
