3.5 "I know What I Have To Do"

Thursday, December 16, 2014 - first period

"Just a reminder to everyone who purchased a ticket to our school's hockey alumni game, you are able to leave as soon as third period starts, hope to see you all there! And that's all your announcements today, hope you have a great day"

The bell rings to signal the end of first period and Luke leaves the class without waiting for me, again. Not like I should be surprised, he hasn't said a single word to me since Tuesday. I've tried to apologize a million times but he doesn't even give me a second of his life any more. 

"Hey" Juliet greets me in the change room. I hum in response. "He's still not talking to you?"

"It's been two days!" I exclaim. "You know how hard I've been trying to apologize but he's not even giving me the chance" 

"I feel like I'm the one to blame for this. I never should've told you what to do"

"No it's fine don't worry"

"No it's not, okay here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to talk to him today and explain to him how I'm the one who made up the plan and everything"

"You don't have to do that Juliet"

"I know, but I want to. Plus having Aussie boy hate me is worth it if it means you become happy again"

"You know I love you right"

"Obviously" she flips her hair and winks. And for the first time in two days, I genuinely laughed.

Third period

"Ok guys the bell just rang so people should be getting here in like 10 minutes you guys are all ready to check their tickets and everything right?" I ask the members of the council right in front of me.

They all nodded. 

"Where's Connor?"

"Right beside you" someone said.

I turn to my right and see him right there. Some people laugh. "Oh my god okay I'm blind. You're ready with the camera to take pictures and everything right?" He nods. "Yay and the ticket part is probably the most hectic part but everything else is really chill so just enjoy yourselves" My phone vibrates indicating a text.

Juju Bee: ash and i are going to starbucks want anything?

Haileycopter: surprise me with any latte or mocha

Ash Ketchum: omg cant you just answer with a straight answer whats with all these surprises

Juju Bee: stfu

Ash Ketchum: Im right beside you!

Juju Bee: annoying piece of shit

I quietly giggle to myself from their conversation.

Haileycopter: <3 

"Who says you're allowed to laugh?" 

I turned around and see Calum with a mocking face in front of me.

"Very funny" I roll my eyes jokingly. "How are you here already the bell just rang like a minute ago"

He dangles his car keys in front of my face. 

"okay okay I get it, you have a car" 

He laughs. "I can take you home after the game if you want"

"Nah it's ok Ash is probably driving us home"

"Us?" He asked.

"You know like me, Juliet..." I trailed

"...andddd Luke?" He finished for me.
