4.2 "I'm Just Getting Started"

Monday, January 26, 2015 - first period

I haven't stopped smiling ever since Saturday and I don't think I will any time soon. I wasn't able to spend the day with Calum yesterday since he was spending his actual birthday with his family but that didn't stop him from texting me all day. Of course, I didn't mind. I was too distracted by him yesterday night that I stayed up until like 1 finishing all of the homework that really would've only taken me about 2 hours. 

The bell rings dismissing us from our first period classes.

"Wow you look happy" Luke says coming up to me

"Well I feel happy" I grin from ear to ear. 

"On a scale from 1 - burgers"

"Burgers..with bacon" 

"Holy shit you must be really happy"

I laugh and say my goodbyes to him as we part our ways to our second classes. I head to the double gym and see someone waiting outside. 

"Calum?"

"Hey" he smiles

"What are you doing here?" Not that I didn't want to see him, it was just weird that he was here considering he's not in my class.

"I just came to uhh visit Hunter and Mason?" He says scratching the back of his neck

"Really?"

"Uh..no, actually I just wanted to see you" He spills and quickly looks away as if he regrets the words he just said.

I laugh. "Well I'm glad 'cause I wanted to see you too"

He laughs and gently takes my hand in his. We just smile and look at each other for a few seconds with comfortable silence surrounding us. People are probably looking at us really weirdly but right now I couldn't care less, I was happy.

"Calum you should probably go to class" I say breaking the silence letting out a giggle.

"Oh fuck right I have class. I'll see you later Hailey" He walks away but then stops to come back again giving me a kiss on the cheek. As I watch him walk away I let out something I never thought I would for a long time, a sigh of content.

Adrianna's POV

"So Hailey and Calum are finally together?" I ask my boyfriend

"Well yes and no. I mean they both really like each other but they aren't official" he explains.

I scoff. "She can do so much better. I mean especially what happened at his party and she's still going to take him back"

"Technically not take back because she never had him"

"Oh please he was wrapped around her finger. He'd probably kill someone for her"

He shrugs. "Who cares. She's happy, he's happy, they're not hating us any more. Life's good"

"Nope I'm not letting go that easily"

He sighs. "What are you thinking of. Don't do anything stupid. Hailey's finally happy and she's our friend. Don't do anything that can ruin it"

"I know Hailey's happy. I'm happy that she's happy but she's happy with the wrong person"

"What's wrong with Calum? I mean besides the fact that he's a total dick to most people , he's a good guy to her. He treats her right"

"I just don't think they're good together. But it's okay they're not going to last anyway"

"How do you know?" He says, now more interested in my words.
