Note: This book is purely fictional and in this chapter you'll get to read many such scenes where you might raise many questions but reminding you all again the below police station scene is fictional. I have no idea how things work in police station, hope you understand!
"Umerrrr kya kiya tumne yeh?" Minaheel held umer's hand tightly.
"Na rahega baaz na bajega basuri, khatam tumari zindagi se Shehroze ka khissa!" Umer dusted his hands off with a proud smile, a gesture that seemed to symbolize the end of the matter for him.
"Yeh kiya ladke tumne, jail hojaegi tumhe!" The restaurant manager said to umer as all the members in the restaurant ran down to look after shehroze.
"Ohhh jail hojaegi, maine to soncha hi nahi, minaheel ek kaam karo ghar jao, apna live location forran abhi ke abhi zayyan bhai ko send karo aur niklo yaha se niche mere guards hai unse kaho ki tumhe safely ghar pahuchaye don't worry tumhe kuch nahi hoga!" Umer reassured
"Kya matlab ghar jao umer mai tumhe chordke kahi nahi jarahi!" Minaheel said her voice showed determination
"Bakwaas nahi karo Minaheel police aayegi to tumhe bhi kheechengi iss sab mess me jao yaha se mai dekh lunga sab, kuch nahi hoga, please yaar jao mere khatir!" Umer said desperately when minaheel didn't even moved.
Minaheel wasn't sure but she went away knowing that if she stays there umer will be worried about her, if she goes he can think about his escape.
Umer looked confident in front of Minaheel but inside he was worried. He had always tried not to do anything that would hurt his brother's reputation. Ahaan had warned him many times to stay out of fights, he warned him 92002 times to stay 1000 feets away from police station, court and stuff. Before leaving the house Umer had promised Ahaan that he would behave and not get into any trouble.
Now, Umer felt guilty for breaking that promise. He knew Ahaan would be very disappointed in him. Despite this Umer didn't regret what he had done to Shehroze. He would do it all over again to protect Minaheel.
"Allah please please bachalein bhaiya ki izzat ka sawaal hai!" Umer prayed silently.
Before he could even process his thoughts, he heard the sound of sirens- ambulance and police cars. The chaos erupted around him and in a matter of minutes Umer found himself being dragged away by the police. The world seemed to blur as he was pushed into the cold, harsh environment of the police station.
"Daalo isey jail me!" a gruff voice barked. A police officer pushed Umer towards a constable.
Umer's eyes widened in desperation as he was led away.
"Kya karu bhaiya ko call karke bula bhi nahi sakta, yarr itni buri situation me nahi phasna tha, bhaiya se promise kiya tha kuch galat kaam nahi karunga, unse kya kahunga ab!" Umer rubbed his temples.
"Nahi, complaint file nahi ki abhi tak kisi ne, aur attempt to murder hai wo ladka abhi mara nahi, Inspector sahab se pucho kya karna hai!" Other officer stopped the constable.
"Aur ladke tum apne ghar walo ko call karke bulao!" He snapped at umer.
"Ghar wale? Attempt to murder?" Umer gulped.
"Shehroze kutte tu toh mara nahi mujhe mere bhaiya ke hatho zarur maarega!" Umer cursed him
"Kis ko call karu? Saad bhai? Nahi wo to bhaiya ke saamne honge bhaiya ko bata denge, chachu ku? Nahi beta umer teri to maut fixed hai aaj kisko bhi call karle, bhaiya please kuch bolne sunne ka chance dena phele hi phansi announce na karna!" Umer muttered to himself
