Zara's school-
Zara went to school to collect her board results, Apart from her stuffed toys, Fariha, her best friend, was the only person who knew all her secrets. The two girls adored each other, and Zara found solace in their friendship.
Fariha and zara often visits each other house on weekends. As they both met zara's silence was palpable. Zara rarely spoke to anyone else in class, and didn't even know the names of half her classmates.
Despite being an average student who scraped by with passing grades, Zara had once been a bright and eager learner. She had even been a topper in her class, but her mother's lack of appreciation and recognition had slowly extinguished her enthusiasm for studies.
"Kya hua zara, results ka stress hai?"
Zara shooked her head
"Uncle ne fir kuch kaha??" fariha asked concerned
"Suno, meri ek help karogi" zara sat straight on bench and asked with doe eyes
"Ofcourse meri jaan buss hukm karo, tumhare liye to Fari ki jaan b hazir hai" she said taking her in a side hug
"Fari, please ek aur sleeping pill dedo" she said forwarding her hand
Fari widened her eyes in shock, she slapped the extended hand away and said "Tum theek ho?"
Zara's voice trembled, she hated this sentence, she always tries her best to show herself strong, her mother didn't had time to ask about her well being, and when fari does she find it difficult to control her self
"Fari, mai 4 din se jaag rahi hu, mai sona chahti hu par neend nahi aarahi, tumhe yaad last time jab aisa hua tha tab sirf tumari di hui sleeping pills se neend aayi thi, please iss baar bhi laado" she said with eyes full of tears
Fariha being a sister of Psychiatrist had secretly taken some pills from her brother's room, for her friend. Knowing his brother would disapprove this act.
Fari's heart sank seeing her friend crying
"Yar zara mai dedu par tum jaanti ho ye itna asaan nahi hai bhaiya jaan lelenge, agar unhe pata chala mai ek underage ladki ko sleeping pills de rahi hu wo b bina prescription ke, tum kyu itna stress leti ho, ek kaam karo aaj mere yaha aajao results ki party karenge aur mere bhaiya tumari help kardenge"
Zara struggled hard to not cry, she always manage to do it successfully.
"Mai pagal nahi hu Fari, sojaongi to theek hojaongi, mai mere problems sirf tumse share karti hu kyuki mujhe pata hai tum meri help karogi, mujhe kisi aur ke help ki need nahi hai" her voice was heavy with emotions but her eyes dry
"Acha zaruu ro nahi, maine kab kaha tum pagal ho, chordo mai karti hu kuch, but promise me yeh last time agar iske baad bhi aisa hua to hum bhaiya ke paas jaenge" Fari gently replied
