Days passed, Umer fully recovered from his injuries, but his heart still yearned for Minaheel. Although he had met her once with Ahaan's permission and cleared up the misunderstandings between them, the memory of tears in her eyes when they parted ways left him feeling unsatisfied. Despite this, he couldn't do anything about it at the moment. Determined to move forward, Umer refocused on his education, pouring his energy into becoming an exceptional doctor. He envisioned a future where he could marry Minaheel after establishing a successful career.
Meanwhile, both Zara and Umer resumed their routines, attending school and university, respectively.
Ahaan was in a process to wind up his work so that he can focus on his marriage. He was spending his days and nights in office to acheive his targets, but still he made sure to reach home before zara's bed time so that she can sleep peacefully.
Meanwhile, the Shehroze chapter had come to a close. He had been sentenced to death by hanging for his crimes. The loss of their grown child had left his parents traumatized, and the absence of any other children meant they would have to live with the pain of their loss forever. The trauma had taken a toll on them, leaving them too disturbed to even consider seeking revenge.
It was 12 pm when Ahaan was conducting a meeting with his employees, his phone ranged it showed the caller name of Zara's school. He frowned and excused himself from the meeting before picking up the call.
"Hello!" Ahaan said receiving the call.
"Hello bhaiyaa ji mai hu zaru!" Zara replied through the call, her voice seemed weak.
"Ji beta kya hua, school se kyu call kar rahi ho, kuch bhul gayi?" Ahaan asked quickly.
"Bhaiya ghar aana hai, half day ki permission nahi derahe kehte hai allow nahi karenge jab tak parents lene nahi aate, aap please aayein na half day pick karne ya fir call karke hi permission lelein ki mujhe half day se chord diya jaaye!" Zara whined clearly on the verge of tears
"Kyu aana hai half day se, kya hua? Test hai?" Ahaan asked sharply
"Mera pait dukh raha hai bhaiya!" Zara's voice cracked
"Kyu beta? Kya hogaya mai aaraha hu ruko, 20 minutes lagenge mujhe pahunchne wait karlogi?" Ahaan's tone softened
"Aap driver ko bhejdein na please mujhe bohut dard horaha hai aap buss call karke permission lelein!" Zara pleaded crying

She nodded and went to her classroom to collect her belongings, it was her first day of periods and the cramps were unbearable, she never had this kind of cramps ever. It wasn't her first time ofcourse, she always used to manage it silently without letting others know, but this time she was feeling she cannot even move, she wanted to go home and just lie down.
After few minutes she reached home took a quick shower and slipped on her bed wincing in pain.
Tears flowed down her cheeks because of intense pain, she had no medicine, no pain killer in hand, she knew they where in umer's locker, he always kept it locked and he never allowed her to take any kind of medicines without his knowledge.
She kept changing her positions, turning from one side to another, clutching her stomach.
"Bua ji!" Zara called out faintly
