"Bhaiya kaha reh gaye the aap, dinner ready hai chaliye karte hai!" She said excitedly.

"Umer ko bula kar lao!" Ahaan said curtly.

Zara's smile faltered, and she felt a shiver run down her spine just by his tone. She sensed something was off, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She glanced at Ahaan, but his expression was unreadable. With a growing sense of unease, she turned to call out to Umer.

When umer and zara descended stairs Ahaan was pacing back and forth in dining room angrily.

"Kya samjhte ho tum dono apne aapko? Huh? Itne bade hogaye ho ki meri aankh me dhool jhokoge? Mujhse chize chupaoge" Ahaan said sharply glaring both of them, his tone was not high he was not shouting but it was so firm that they both felt timid in front of him

Zara knew it in an instant that Ahaan had discovered her paper because no way he scolds her without any reason and she know there is no reason for him to be mad at her apart from this. She felt a wave of shame and fear wash over her, and she instinctively hid behind Umer, grasping his bicep tightly. She couldn't bear to face Ahaan.

Umer, on the other hand had no idea why Ahaan was angry, and he assumed it was something unrelated to the test paper. If he had been in Zara's shoes, he would have hidden the paper so skillfully that Ahaan would never have found it. He expected Zara to have done the same, especially since it had only been a couple of hours since he signed the paper.

"Kya hua bhaiya?" Umer asked.

"Don't play innocent umer, thappad maarunga ek toh sab yaad aajaega ab!" Ahaan said gritting his teeth.

"I swear mujhe nahi pata aap kyu gussa horahe ho!" Umer said meekly.

Ahaan's anger reached a boiling point, and he pulled out Zara's test papers from his pocket, and threw it on his face.

Umer bent down and saw the papers, his expression transformed from confusion to shock.

The test papers were the last thing Umer had expected to see, and he felt like he had been punched in the gut. He closed his eyes tightly, unable to meet Ahaan's gaze. He was even angry at zara at the same time.

"Kya hai yeh jawab do mujhe tum dono!" Ahaan asked.

Zara remained hidden behind Umer, too afraid to face Ahaan's wrath. Ahaan's eyes flicked towards her, but he didn't say anything.

Umer knew he had to break the silence. Ahaan hated it when people didn't answer him, and Umer didn't want to provoke him further. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the consequences.

"Kya hai batao mujhe, himmat kaisa hui tumhari mere badle sign karne ki paper, bohut bade hogaye ho na dono? Bohut battameez bhi! Zara kya tamashe hai yeh?" Ahaan asked loudly, he voice echoing the mansion

"Bhaiya batane wale the aapko par..!" Umer tried to explain

"Par batane se phele sign karna zyada better laga na tumhe, sach chupana zyada better laga!" Ahaan cut him off

Umer shook his head.

"Zara come out and explain yourself, tumare papers hai na yeh kisse puchkar umer ki sign karwayi?" Ahaan asked firmly.

"Bhaiya marks kam aane ki waja se wo darr rahi isliye maine hi kaha..!" Umer gulped he knew he couldn't lie to Ahaan, but he cannot also throw zara in hungry lion's den.

"Kya kaha kehna mujhse mai bhi to sunu!" Ahaan stepped forward.

Umer instinctively took a step back, zara was biting her lower lip behind him.
