Umer headed out with his friends for a casual outing which included a shopping trip.
He picked out few items in a mall, he was about to checkout when his bank servers crashed refusing to process his digital payment, he always wants to avoid this type of situation because he had a strict habit of not carrying cash with him.
Minaheel who was shopping in the same mall, was standing exactly next to umer at the checkout counter.
"Jaldi karo dusro ko bhi pay karna hai!" The cashier said frustratingly.
"Sabar karo bhai, kar raha hu, lekar thodi na bhagunga!" Umer said already irritated, by the bank servers. Minaheel's gaze drifted towards umer and a smile appeared on her face.
"Hey!" Minaheel said in her charming voice.
"Hello." Umer glanced up at minaheel but his expression didn't change, he was still having frowns on his forehead, frustration clearly evident on his face.
"Any problem?" Minaheel asked.
"Yeah just bank servers messing up with my mood!" Umer sighed, trying repeatedly to complete the transaction.
"If you don't mind I could help you, mere bank servers perfect hai I could lend you the amount, you can return it back whenever your servers are back online!" She said trying her ways to get his number and not being the desperate, her tone was helpful not the pushy. Umer appreciated the gesture with a subtle smile.
"No, thanks, it's not a big deal, you continue your shopping I will manage it!" Umer declined and minaheel face fell but she smiled sweetly.
"Okay take care!" She said before paying for her items and leaving the counter.
Umer's best friend ibrahim and 2 more friends tried to offer him help noticing his distress but umer's pride and independence kicked in, he refused their help feeling uncomfortable with the idea of being indebted to others, no matter how close they are. He made a call to Ahaan his only saviour.
"Haa umer bolo!" Ahaan said answering the call.
"Bhaiya shopping pe aaya hu bank servers kaam nahi karre payment karna tha!" Umer said meekly knowing Ahaan gets irritated because of his habit of not carrying cash
"Kehta hu cash rakha karo, card kaha hai tumhara!" He asked angrily
"Wo b ghar bhool gaya!" He answered slowly.
"Gaaliya khane wali harkatein hai saari!" He snapped at him
"Abhi to pay kardein na ye cashier aisa ghoor raha hai jaise mai chor hu!" He whispered making Ahaan chuckle.
"Scanner bhejo!" He said calmly.
And within a minute Ahaan paid and umer finally took a breath of relief.
After a few minutes, Umer returned home to find the mansion shrouded in silence and dimness. He made his way to Zara's room, but she was nowhere to be found. Assuming Ahaan and Zara might be in Ahaan's room, he headed there, knocking before entering. Inside, he found Ahaan engrossed in creating a presentation, while Zara sat on the dressing table, sharing her day's experiences with ahaan.
Umer's eyes sparkled with amusement as he approached Ahaan and hugged him tightly, ahaan wiggled in his embrace like a kid.
"Dur hato!" Ahaan snapped freeing himself from umer grip.
Umer plopped down on his bed.
"Har waqt ki laparwahi achi nahi hoti umer!" Ahaan said calmly but his expression was stern.
"Aap ho to sahi mere saviour!" Umer said smirking.
"Mujhe call nahi lagta to kya karte?" Ahaan raised an eyebrow.
