"You know if you used your wind powers, you could blow off any raw milk if it gets on you." Jacqueline suggested.
"It's worth a shot." I considered the suggestion. "Even if it's not as effective as you think, at the very least, it could buy me some time to make an escape if I blast off the milk using wind in their direction.
We had been practising in the simulation room for weeks now. As soon-to-be members of the of the S-Force, Rocco and Winifred could access the simulation room anytime they wanted. Especially Rocco who had special privileges for some reason. He'd even gotten the head of communications to show him where raw milk was hidden in the simulation room. Jacqueline had managed to convince Dae-woo to join us, making our presence look legit but it was Rocco's and Winnie's presence that made it even easier. Toni had been working with Kylie in the anti gravity simulation as an alternate way to beat the possibility of anyone with time manipulation powers and now she could almost outrun gravity.
We all had a long way to go but we were making progress. We were all determined to succeed as superheroes.
"In a couple of weeks, we're not going to get to see each other often." Rocco informed me.
"But you're going to officially become a superhero." I countered.
"That's great and all but it would suck without you." He pouted.
"Awwww aren't you sweet?" I playfully tugged at his cheek.
"Ugh! Get a room you two." Winnie groaned.
"Jealousy." I said in a sing song voice and stuck out my tongue.
"Jealous of a situationship?" Winnie rolled her eyes.
"It's not a situationship." Rocco retorted.
"Exactly. We're close friends." I added.
"Ouch!" Jacqueline hissed.
"What?" I turned to her, eyebrows raised.
"Apart from the fact that you just friendzoned Rocco? Nothing." Jacqueline snorted.
"But we are friends." I argued.
"You have your feet in his lap." Toni pointed out. "Just friends my foot."
"As if that's not normal." I rolled my eyes.
"You put your feet in your friends' lap?" Jacqueline raised an eyebrow.
"Of course." I said, a little too defensive for my own liking.
"So how come you never put your feet in our lap?" Toni probed me.
"You want me to put my feet on your lap?" I asked sarcastically, hoping to discourage them.
"Yes." Jacqueline replied.
"OK." I shrugged and stood up. I walked over to where they were practically huddled together on the other side of the cards games' table and plopped down across their legs.
"Ow!" They groaned collectively.
I stretched my body across their legs, pretending to be oblivious. "Happy now?"
The girls began to grumble but Winnie's cackling from beside us interrupted them.
"I don't know why I found this funny. You're not so bad junior trainee."
"Thanks?" I said puzzled.
"Awwww. She likes you." Rocco cooed at Winnie then turned to me. "You know she doesn't like anyone."
"I'm special." I beamed.
Rocco smiled at me, a soft look in his eyes. "Yes, you are."
