"Sorry about your aunt's house Kylie

"Sorry about your aunt's house Kylie." I apologised.

"It's fine." Kylie dismissed it with a wave of the hand. "It's only a little part of the roof and the fence. It shouldn't be too expensive to fix."

"If there's anything we can do to help." Yvonne said.

"I'll let you guys know." She assured us.

"I feel terrible." Yvonne rubbed her arm nervously.

"Don't feel guilty guys. It's mostly my fault. My powers created the telekinetic field."

"Yeah but-"

"But nothing. We discovered what we needed and that's all that matters."

"If you say so." I acquiesced, putting an end to the conversation.

We cut our training short that day. Jacqueline had trouble keeping up because her ice blast had turned back on her when she tried merging her cryogenic powers with ours.

Kylie successfully merged her telekinesis with my portal powers and Yvonne's wind abilities. Although we expected the effects of our experiment to go a little haywire, the result was still unprecedented. Kylie's telekinesis set off a telekinetic field which nearly took out her aunt's house and the fence around it. Luckily we closed up the portal before any real damage happened. A part of the fence had collapsed and a tiny part of the front of the roof had practically flown off.

"At this point the attendants practically know my name and not just my training number." Jacqueline coughed.

"Just take it easy." I instructed.

"Of course mom." She said sarcastically, batting her eyelashes at me and pouting.

"Don't get testy now." I warned.

She rolled her eyes and huffed. "Just take me to see an attendant."

"Sure." I blew out a breath.

We took a shuttle down to the ground floor and walked out into the lobby.

"She needs an attendant." I called out to the attendant at the front desk.

"An attendant will be here shortly." She replied.

We blinked once and one practically materialised in front of us.

"What's the problem?" She asked us.

"Training accident. Her cryogenic abilities was turned back on her by accident." I replied on her behalf.

She scanned Jacqueline from head to toe. "Alright. Do you have any complaints of your own?"

"No I'm perfectly fine. She's the one that needs attention."

"I caught that." Jacqueline spoke out against my disguised jab at her.

"You were supposed to." I said as I handed her over to the attendant.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes as the attendant helped her to the infirmary.

Jacqueline struggled a bit during training the next day. It was usually difficult to get her on her back at least once. She ended up on her back three times.

Even Catherine noticed.

"94N what is up with you?" She asked with poorly concealed annoyance.

"I'm sorta kinda not feeling well." Jacqueline sheepishly replied.

Catherine groaned. "Great! Just what I needed."

"Not to worry ma'am." Jacqueline tried to reassure her. "I'll definitely be in tip-top shape tomorrow."

"I would hope so too." Catherine shook her head in disbelief as she spoke. She took a deep breath before turning on her heel and walking away.

"I think the next test is closer than we think." I thought aloud during lunch.

"What makes you think so?" Yvonne asked.

"Catherine's reaction to Jacky being sick. Something important is coming up and they need everyone in tip-top shape." I said the last part in a voice meant to mimic Jacqueline's.

"Ugh! Not now Toni." Jacqueline groaned.

I cackled at her reaction. Getting her annoyed was definitely fun.
