40: Jacqueline

"I think I'm going to throw up." I exhaled and closed my eyes tightly.

"We didn't even have breakfast." Toni sighed. "Why would you even?"

"Skipping breakfast clearly ain't helping." I groaned.

"Well take a deep breath and hold it. Now's not the time." Toni said, leaving no space for a reply.

"This is it guys. We've trained really really hard for this so we have nothing to worry about." Yvonne said. "If we don't make it, it's not the end of us. We can still do a lot of good without the-"

"Finish that speech and I will actually vomit on you." I threatened her.

"Literally what's wrong with you?" Kylie shook her head.

"What kind of garbage speech is that?" Toni scrunched up her nose. "I know even you don't believe that."

The shuttle came to a stop and opened up. We all took a deep breath and got off.

"Alright guys, this is it. Leave all the nerves behind. We've trained for this and we are more than ready. We are going to pass this final test and make it into the S-Force. We are ready for whatever they have in store." Toni said.

"They can bring it on." Kylie agreed.

"Let's go pass this test."

We walked through the door directly in front of the shuttle and found ourselves in a large round room. The members of the S-Force were seated around the elevated part of the room with Catherine and a couple of other people standing behind them.

The Bulkman stood. "Welcome senior trainees to your final test."

"Thank you sir." Yvonne replied.

He smiled at her reply. "This final test will determine if you are going to be joining the Super Force. If you pass, you're officially in and will be made superheroes."

He sat down and Catherine stepped forward. "Today's test requires either one of these two. Last long enough against your opponent or defeat him and you pass."

"You shall face H- ahem- I mean Invincibilis." The Bulkman declared.

The man sat at the left side of The Bulkman stood up and jumped down to our level like it was a tiny step.

"Let's see how long you last." He tilted his neck from side to side, a cracking sound following each tilt of the neck.

"We're done for." Kylie stiffened.

"We should work together." Yvonne blurted out.

"How?" I asked.

"We try to repel his powers for as long as we can then we pull out our secret weapon." She said.

"Secret weapon?" I asked, puzzled.

"Combine our powers." She replied.

"Gotcha!" Kylie mumbled.

"Guys we can't repel his powers." Yvonne whispered loudly.

"Why not?" I asked.

"We're fighting Invincibilis not Flectoman or Lighthouse." She reminded us. "How are we going to repel his powers?" Yvonne asked.

"Ok new plan." Toni announced. "We split up and keep him occupied then when our time is up, we bring out the secret weapon."

"Noted." I said with a nod.

"Jacqueline you're going to do most of the distracting. Kylie will jump in occasionally since she has extra strength just like he does."

I rolled my eyes. "As expected."
