I was so nervous to see my aunt

I was so nervous to see my aunt. It had been over a year since the last time I saw her. We exchanged a couple of messages but never spoke face to face.

"You guys ready?" Toni asked.

"Yeah." Yvonne answered.

I watched Toni spin herself into a cyclone and generate a portal from there. Yvonne waved her arms around and threw them in a circle. A cyclone rose up and when she threw her arm around in a circle as fast as was humanly possible, the cyclone got faster. She threw her arm in a circle once more and sent the cyclone colliding with Toni's portal.

As usual, I went in first. Everytime I entered the portal, I always felt like I had been swallowed by an intense gravitational pull coupled with the strong wind making breathing slightly difficult. Jacqueline followed behind me and Yvonne and Toni were the last to enter the portal. The hybrids portal spun us like a washing machine for what felt like forever until I heard Toni yell at me.

"Anytime now Kylie!"

I looked up and saw Yvonne raise her hands and close them to fists, the wind in the portal slowing to a stop when she did that. Toni raised her arms as well and closed her hands over Yvonne's.

"Now Kylie now!" Toni yelled as the portal started to close.

I quickly took control of the gravitational pull around me and got myself to land softly. I did the same for the other girls as well.

"We're here!" I announced. Taking in my surroundings.

It was not much different from the last time I was around. The farmhouse was the same, the farm had the same fence around it. Only difference was the last time I was here, the farmhouse was surrounded by corn as far as the eye could see and the weather was pleasant. Now, there was no corn to be found and the air was frigid.

I walked up to the farmhouse and the door opened before I could begin my ascent up the few steps leading to the front porch.

"Kylie?" My aunt asked warily.

"Aunt Juliet." I replied.

"You should have let us know you were coming." She stepped out of the house, arms outstretched for a hug. I met her at the top of the steps and let her envelope me in a hug.

"Sorry." I said into her shoulder.

"You brought guests?" I felt her pull away slightly.

"Yeah we're trainees with the S-Force." I explained as I pulled away completely.

"You joined the S-Force and didn't tell me?" My aunt gasped in shock.

"I'm still in training. I'm not in the S-Force yet."

"But you were selected to join. You should have told me. I would've baked a cake to celebrate."

"If I make it into the S-Force, you'll bake a cake."

"When! When you make it into the S-Force because surely you'll make it."

"You're right. We came to ask for a favour."

"Does it involve loans?"

"Well sorta but only for a minute."

"A minute?"

"Well you see we're training to improve on our powers and we'll need a place to test out something we want to try with our powers."

"Oh ok." She turned to walk into the house. "Come on in kids."

Inside was different from the last time I remembered it. There was a new couch in the living room and a new dining table in the dining room. New lights and drapes everywhere. The door to the kitchen had been replaced as well as the railing against the stairs.

"You remodelled." I observed.

"Made some good money from the corn harvest last year and I put it to good use." She said, clearly proud of herself.

"That's great aunt Juliet."

"It is, isn't it?"

"So about that favour." I reminded her.

"Of course." She said while nodding her head enthusiastically. "Please sit." She gestured to the chairs in the living room.

We all sat. "It doesn't require money. We just need an open space to try something out."

"And what might that be?" My aunt asked.
