"It's a wrap folks

"It's a wrap folks. Tonight Rocco and Winnie join the S-Force." I announced as we made our way out of the training room.

"Another test is around the corner." Kylie said quietly.

"One step closer to the S-Force." Yvonne could barely conceal her excitement.

"I'm so ready to be done. I will be more than glad when this is all over." Toni groaned.

"Me too." I agreed.

We picked up lunch and selected a table. I spotted Han Dae Woo coming in while we ate in silence.

"Should we invite him to sit with us?" I asked the girls.

"No!" Toni barked.

"Ouch." Kylie said, eyebrows raised in shock.

Even Yvonne looked stunned and knowing Yvonne, she wasn't one to be stunned so easily. I decided to ask again just to have a window to understand Toni's reaction.

"He doesn't have anyone to sit with." I glanced back to see him huddled up in a corner by himself.

"Whose fault is that? Maybe next time he'll learn to treat people decently." Toni shrugged as if his existence was insignificant.

"He's sort of joined our team again. Sitting with us wouldn't hurt."

"He bullied you." Toni reminded me. "Why are you sticking up for him?"

"Some people deserve another chance." I shrugged. "Also I need to keep using his powers to train."

"Tiger!" Yvonne exclaimed.

"What?" I turned to her in confusion.

"It's something we say when someone is either lying or shows smart thinking."

"And I'm the latter?"

"Yeah pretty much." Yvonne confirmed.

"Maybe that could be my superhero name. Ice Tiger."

"I like it." Yvonne declared.

"I knew you would. So should we invite him or not?"

"Whatever." Toni rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to her food.

We put away our dishes and trays when we were done but I walked in the opposite direction while everyone else headed out of the cafeteria.

"Hey." I said to Dae-woo. My face neutral but my voice warm.

He looked up from his tray of food. "Hey?"

"Look I'm just here to thank you for helping me."

"Yeah you're welcome."

"I also wanted to invite you to hang out with us."

"Ok?"

"Is that all you have to say?"

"What else do you want me to say?"

"I don't know. Saying you will think about it would have been a better answer than a weak 'Ok?'"

"Got it."

"Well if you want to, you can join us later in the common room. We'll be playing Scrabble."

"I'll think about it."

I left the cafeteria and walked into the common room. The girls were gathered around the Scrabble table watching the door closely.

"What did he say?" Yvonne asked expectantly.

"He said he'll think about it." I plopped down beside the table and watched Kylie power on the game.

"At least you tried." Kylie reassured me. "You extended an olive branch to him even though he did not deserve it."

"Exactly!" Toni agreed.

"Who's going to be player one?" Yvonne asked, bringing our attention back to the Scrabble board.

"Can I?" Dae-woo asked from behind me, making us all turn to look at him.

He cleared his throat. "If that will be OK with you guys, that is."

"I'm fine with it." I said then turned to the others.

"Me too." Kylie said with a shrug.

"Me three." Yvonne agreed, a friendly smile on her face.

We all turned to Toni, anticipating her answer. She fixed a sharp gaze on him that made him gulp loudly.

"You're lucky I kinda suck at Scrabble." She finally said.
