The war room of the Princess Andromeda was silent save for the low hum of the ship's core and the occasional flicker of an ancient map splayed across the central table. Lines glowed softly—Ley lines, camp locations, monster nests.

Luke stood at the head of it all like he was born to command it, arms folded as he stared down the two boys across from him.

Dominic stood with his hands in his coat pockets, calm and unreadable. Adrien, less so, leaned against a pillar with his jaw clenched and eyes locked on Luke like he'd rather be anywhere else—the underworld included.

"So?" Luke said, his voice deceptively casual as he turned to face them. "Any progress on finding our little mystery?"

Dominic didn't react. Adrien scoffed. "You mean the Champion of Nyx?"

"Yes," Luke said smoothly. "Nyx isn't known for sentiment. She rarely chooses... but when she does choose someone, it means something. Power. Purpose. Potential."

He paused, eyes flicking between the two boys. "And I have a feeling you both know exactly how valuable that is."

"She's our age," Dominic said suddenly, voice calm. "Fifteen, maybe sixteen."

Adrien nodded slowly, gaze still cool. "We think she's an orphan. No records, no family. Lives off the grid."

Luke raised a brow. "And where exactly was she last seen?"

"Miami," Adrien said, lying through his teeth with ease. "She killed a hellhound in broad daylight. Disappeared before mortals could even scream."

Luke chuckled. "Dramatic. I like her already."

Dominic didn't say anything.

Luke began to pace again, slow and deliberate. "Power like that... Nyx's blessing. You know what it could mean, right? If she joined us? The gods wouldn't know what hit them."

"She won't," Adrien s aid, voice sharp.

Luke turned toward him. "Why not?"

Adrien shrugged. "She's probably not the type."

"That's where I comes in," Luke said with a grin. "Some people just need to be shown the truth. Coaxed into it."

Dominic shifted, jaw tight. Adrien noticed.

Luke kept going. "She's young. Probably angry. Hurt. Kids like that? They're easy to turn."

Adrien stepped forward. "She's not stupid."
