The car rolled to a stop outside the museum, its sleek black paint reflecting the golden glow of the streetlights. From the backseat, Elara leaned forward, peering through the window at the grand building before them. White marble columns stretched high, massive banners displaying The Wonders of Greek Mythology hanging above the entrance.

She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Alright. Here's the plan."

Adrien, adjusting his cufflinks, smirked. "Finally."

Elara shot him a look. "The exhibit with the stone is upstairs. It's behind security doordd, meaning we need to disable the alarm before we go anywhere near it."

She turned to Dominic. "That means no breaking things just because it's convenient."

Dominic rolled his eyes.

She continued, "We don't know exactly where it is, but it should be in the Lost Relics section. We get in, find it, and figure out how to grab it without getting caught."

Adrien placed a hand on his chest. "Why do you say that like I'm the problem?"

Dominic and Elara just looked at him.

"Okay, fair." He grinned. "Continue."

"There are only two ways for this plan to go wrong," Elara finished.

Adrien smirked. "Knowing us, we'll find at least fifteen more."

Dominic exhaled sharply, stepping out of the car first. Elara followed—but the second she looked up, she stopped in her tracks.

Elara tore her gaze from the painting, but the image burned itself into her mind—those souls, once whole, forever reaching for something they could never have again. She swallowed the lump in her throat and squared her shoulders.

"You know the story, right?" she asked, keeping her voice steady.

Adrien shook his head. Dominic remained silent, but his sharp gaze told her he was listening.

She gestured to the painting, her fingers curling slightly. "Humans used to be whole—four arms, four legs, two faces. They were strong. Too strong. Zeus saw them as a threat. So, with his lightning, he split them in half, forever severing them from the only person who could make them complete. Since then, humans have been searching for their other half. Their forever."

Silence hung between them.

Adrien glanced between her and the painting. "That's messed up."

Elara let out a humorless laugh. "Yeah. It is."

Dominic's gaze lingered on her, unreadable. "You sound like you believe it."

She shrugged, trying to seem indifferent. "It's just a myth."
