*Sorry for not being consistent with updates. I've been working more than I was and I just haven't had the energy to write. But I did see Post Malone in Portland and it was the best concert ever*
The months went on and I was just as busy. I was still taking classes at university and still running my family. Daphne was just over a year old now and thriving. She was so close to walking and was trying to say her first words. Winter was doing very well in her classes and was succeeding in her music class. We started her YouTube channel and she had a few videos up of her playing one instrument or another.
Teddy Swims had also contacted us to see if Winter could play in some of his upcoming songs. Of course, we said yes but that he'd have to come to us since Winter was still in school. Winter was doing amazing in her schoolwork and her work. Austin had mentioned that she could sign with his record to make music.
My first year at the university went amazing though. I had the best time of my life but it was still busy. We made it work, though sometimes, Austin and I fought. We didn't make it obvious in front of the girls. They didn't deserve to see us fight over little things or because the both of us were stressed out. I was taking a lot of classes and Austin was putting the finishing touches on a country album.
"Winter!" I called out as I went downstairs. "Are you almost ready for school?"
"Yes, Mom!" Winter replied, coming out of the kitchen in her school uniform. "And no, I'm not missing anything."
"Are you sure?" I asked.
Winter rolled her eyes. "Yes. I've got my homework, my bag, my books, and my phone in case I need to get to you."
"Don't use your phone during class," I reminded as I grabbed my own bag.
"I won't," Winter said. "I leave it in my bag anyways."
"Good," I said. "Head out to the car while I get Daphne."
Daphne was sitting by the front door. She loved getting in the car to go places so any time we said that we were going somewhere, she immediately headed for the door. I took her to classes sometimes as the professors didn't mind. Daphne was a cute face that everybody loved.
I helped Daphne get her shoes on and out the door. As Winter got into the front seat, I strapped Daphne into her seat in the back and got in the front. I dropped Winter off at school and drove myself to the university. It was finals week and I was a bit stressed out. Lucky that I was able to do it but stressed.
I got out and took Daphne in with me. She was a quiet little girl and sat by herself in the classrooms for the most part. She would wander about sometimes but kept to herself. That was probably why the professors didn't mind her. It was an easy way for me to watch her while also getting my schoolwork done.
We got into the classroom and I set Daphne up on the ground next to me. She babbled and talked to herself quietly as the professor passed out the exam. It took about as long as I thought it would. I turned it in and went to my next class to do the next exam. Daphne followed me, entertained by the people around her.
I got to my next class and got started on the exam. Daphne only fussed a few times but I was able to quiet her. After my classes were done, I left with Daphne. I still had about an hour before I had to pick up Winter. After loading Daphne into the car, I took her to a playground to get her energy out. I took a video of her playing on the playground equipment and sent it to Austin.
After Daphne got most of her energy out, we went to pick Winter up. We arrived just on time and Winter hopped into the car with her bags. She talked excitedly about how her day went and how she was ready for school to end for the summer. Like me, she only had a few more days left before school ended.
