I woke up early to pack everything in the campsite. The others were waking up too and we started packing everything when we finished a quick breakfast. My car was loaded in no time. After we finished putting ourselves together, we were on our way. It was a long drive and we were all tired but it was such a nice, relaxing trip.
We returned to the house in the early afternoon. I was yawning as we pulled into the driveway but I was happy to see my baby girl though. I hadn't been away from her for as long as I was and I missed her.
We hadn't even gotten out of the car before Winter was hurrying to the car. She had a big smile on her face as she came to the car. I got out and gave her a big hug as Austin followed her. He had a big smile on his face. When I let go of Winter, I got a hug from my future husband and a quick kiss.
"How was your trip?" Austin asked.
"It went great," I replied. "How was your trip?"
"It was a lot of fun," Austin replied. "Is there anything you need help with?"
I nodded. "Yeah, for sure. We have a lot of stuff to unpack."
With all of us unpacking my car, it didn't take long. We hung out in the living room for a little bit before Jay and Nina went up to the rooms they were staying in. Since Austin's house was so big, he had enough rooms for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to stay in. Bex disappeared into the kitchen as I laid on the couch with Austin and Winter. We were watching a some random movie that was on.
"Mommy?" Winter asked.
"What's up, sugar?" I asked.
"I hope you have a really good wedding tomorrow," Winter said. "I'm really excited for it."
I started combing through her hair. "I'm excited for it too. Your dress is super pretty too."
"I'm so ready to be the flower girl," Winter said. "I've been practicing for weeks."
I laughed. "I'm sure. I can't wait to see you walking down the aisle."
"My dress is so cute too," Winter said. "The wedding is going to be so much fun, Mommy."
"Why don't you go upstairs to room to take a shower?" I suggested. "So you're ready for tomorrow?"
Winter got up and headed to her room, leaving Austin and I alone. I buried my face into him, sighing heavily.
"Tired?" Austin asked.
I nodded. "Very tired."
"Do you want to go to our room?" Austin asked. "I don't want you falling asleep at our wedding."
I yawned as I got up. "Okay, fine. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Hopefully not before the ceremony," Austin said. "I don't want any bad luck because I saw you in your wedding dress before I was supposed to."
I laughed as I walked away. "I would never do that on purpose."
I went to our room and changed into pajamas. I sat at the edge of my bed, sighing heavily. My life had changed drastically in the past year. I found an amazing man that I was getting married to the next day. He loved my daughter like his own and she even called him her dad.
I got up and went into my closest to look at my dress. It was a beautiful dress and fit me well. It was my dream dress and was beautiful. Austin had hired a makeup artist and hair stylist for me, despite that I could have done it myself. Austin had a thing for spoiling Winter and I. I never liked it because I wanted to provide for myself but I was slowly getting used to it. I loved Austin after all.
I sighed and slowly walked around my room, too lost in thought. I didn't even know what I was worried about. Austin and I loved each other so there wasn't any reason why I couldn't sleep. I hadn't been with anyone seriously since Anmol died. Maybe I was just worried that Austin would leave me too when everything got settled. Whether it was by an accident that took him or he would leave me in the middle of the night.
I finally laid down to try and get to sleep. It was almost 10pm and I had to get up at 6am. I tossed and turned for about two hours before I was finally able to fall asleep. It didn't feel long before I was woken by Winter jumping on my bed.
"Mommy!" She exclaimed. "It's time for your wedding!"
