"Roman, you coming to the party at Black Residence Friday night?" Nikki called, a bright smile of mischief painted on her lips as she recalled the group chat explicitly made for the plans in question. Now that they were back from the Disney Trip and only had Prom and Graduation left as school obligations, the larger family, like group, had opted to spend time together outside of school. Finalizing some plans for the two significant events and making preparations for others.
In the case of the Friday Night plans, they'd told Roman it was a simple party to kick off the weekend. Echo and Aleister were hosting a pool party similar to the one Carmella had thrown, which had brought them together. In actuality, it was more or less a little baby shower for Roman, intending to get him some of the things he'd need to raise the little one.
"Would miss it, Fearless," replied Roman, his grin growing brighter. "Can't wait for the off-key singing and lifelong memories," he added, displaying he was none the wiser. Since returning from Disney, he'd attended the latest doctor's appointment with Serenity. he was proud of the little nugget but still couldn't stand its mother. Serenity had done some tests to determine the gender, revealing they'd be having a girl, to which Serenity looked immediately disappointed, whereas Roman couldn't have been happier. "Hurricane alert!"
"So, how's the wedding planning going?" asked Brie, looking between the engaged couples. Aleister and Cross immediately looked like deer in headlights. Whereas Punk and AJ grinned widely as if they still couldn't believe they were getting married, although it made sense, the two inspired the best in each other.
"We're hoping for a medium-sized wedding in a year or two," replied Miz, recalling that the planning had already started in the form of magazines, Pinterest boards, and wishlists. Both had written down what they wanted and tried to find a compromise that made both happy. "Hoping to hold it at Hotel Blackhawk," he added, "Y'all are coming by the way. You're family, after all."
"Halloween wedding a few years down the line for us," replied Seth, recalling he only had two requests: one would be the time of year, and the other would be that his bride wear a black dress. He couldn't imagine her in white nor being happy wearing the color; he just wanted her to be herself rather than the traditional bride that so many expected.
"How about a Vegas wedding?" asked Cross with laughter, her words directed toward Aleister. "Or a super simple one, small with friends and family, and a big party afterward."
"Bouncy castle included?" questioned Aleister, half joking, but he wanted to see the collections of reactions he'd get from the others.
"And moon hoppers," commented Cross in response. Aleister's response was simple enough, a simple duh, to confirm they were on the same page with the jokes.
"The Queen has arrived," announced Serenity when she finally found them, immediately scoffing upon noticing not one of them particularly cared she was there. Looking around, she was surprised to see they'd made a day trip out of it. Miz and Maryse were near the picnic setup on the lakeshore while the others were doing various things in the dense trees. "Where's Echo?" she asked upon noticing her cousin didn't seem to be present, or at least not in the immediate view.
"While we're on the wheres woldo subject," began Rhea, looking around to see that the Wyatts had disappeared again. She did, however, spot Echo lounging in the tree where the rope swing was tied; Echo was looking out downriver to where the dock was. "Never mind," added Rhea, following Echo's line of sight to see the Wyatts floating on a Banana boat; Alexa, Indi, and Jo-Jo were on the dock enjoying the sun.
"I didn't know there was a cabin out here," commented Serenity, trying to remember the last time she'd been this far into the woods. She didn't know about the large lake either, which was peaceful, surrounded by a small shoreline, and had plenty of thick trees. For a moment, she looked at Roman, lounging in a hammock near the cabin, a book in hand as he gently rocked from side to side. He didn't seem surprised by the existence of the cabin or even care that she was there.
