Christian
"We're supposed to be at my grandparents in an hour," Juliet said like she was trying to fight off my kisses for some reason.
"I know. We still have plenty of time to get there. It's only like ten minutes away," I said.
She went to get up and I pulled her back down on the bed. I started to tickle her and she giggled just like she always did. I loved to hear her giggle. It was the cutest thing ever. She did what she always did and distracted me by kissing me. It didn't take long for our kisses to get heated. I ran my hand up her leg and all the way up her side to her neck where her bikini top was tied. I untied it and my hand traveled back down her side. I broke the kiss and began to kiss her neck as I put my hand under her shirt cupping her breast. She arched her back and said my name.
I started kissing her again as my hand slid down her stomach to her shorts. I stopped at the waistband and paused. She ran her hand down my chest and palmed me through my swimsuit. I took that as an invitation and slid my hand into her shorts. I was trying to escalate this quickly and not give her time to say no like she always seemed to do if I took my time. Her back arched as I moved my hand inside her shorts.
"You two really should shut the door if you're gonna do that," my sister Harper said from the doorway. "It's gross!"
"I thought you left already," I said as I removed my hand from Juliet's shorts.
"No mom said to come tell you we're leaving now and she expects you to follow soon and be on time. I made a bet with her you'd be late. So don't make me lose ten dollars and be early. It's so out of character for you," Harper teased.
"Get out of my room," I said back.
She left and shut the door behind her. I laid back on the bed and tried to calm my body down. She had ruined the moment and I wanted to scream. Every time we tried this Juliet always said no. I always stopped when she said that. My dad had drilled no means no into my head from a really young age. As much as I wanted to if Juliet wasn't ready I had to respect that. I was willing to wait as long as it took. I knew her first time had been traumatic and she was scared. I had to make her understand I wasn't that douchebag who had done that to her.
I wanted to find a way to show her I wasn't going anywhere. I had never felt the way I felt about her. Neither one of us had ever said the "L" word to each other. I had almost said it a couple of times over the past few weeks. I wanted to but I was afraid she didn't feel the same way.
"We should go," Juliet said as she got up from the bed and retied her swimsuit.
When we got to her grandparents' house most of her family was already there. This was a little back to school barbeque and a goodbye party for those in her family that were going off to college. I was glad Juliet and I had both gotten into UCLA and wouldn't be going far. We had both decided to live at home instead of the dorms.
"So where are Cameron and Embry?" I asked as Juliet and I sat down where everyone else was talking.
"Let's see Cameron's parents are here and so are Embry's whole family. Do I need to answer that?" Emerson asked.
"If I knew I wouldn't have asked," I said missing what he was trying to say.
"Okay let me put it this way they haven't seen each other in six weeks, and they're all alone in Cameron's house," Emerson tried again.
"Oh my god Christian are you really that dense?" Juliet asked. "Think about it."
"Oh," I said after a minute.
"Yeah I bet Embry shows up with one of those massive hickeys," Hailey said. "That's so gross!"
"I can't help it if Cameron likes to bite and I like it when he does," Embry said from behind them.
We were sitting there talking when Liam and Ryssa came up with the babies and sat with us. Ryssa was holding one of the babies with a blanket draped over her shoulder so I assumed she was feeding her. I didn't know which one she had though. They were the only ones who could tell them apart. They both looked the same to me and everyone else. As the group continued to talk I noticed Liam staring at something over my shoulder. He wasn't the only one staring. The conversation had stopped.
I turned around to see what everyone was staring at and saw their eyes on my mom. She had taken off her shirt and was getting in the pool. Even the adult males were staring. All eyes were on my mom's boobs. I rolled my eyes. This was why I didn't have many friends over and why friends always wanted to come to my house. I loved my mom. She was the best mom ever but why did everyone have to think she was so hot?
I turned back to the group and had to laugh. Caroline was snapping at Emerson trying to get his attention. She actually told him no like he was a dog. Ryssa reached over and smacked Liam on the back of the head. Violet put her hand on Nick's cheek and turned him to face her. Bentley and Romeo both were just outright staring open mouthed. Honestly the only two guys who seemed to be not paying attention to my mom were Cameron and Embry. They were too wrapped up in each other to care. I swear those two were relationship goals.
"Okay this is awkward. Can we all please stop staring at my mom?" I asked.
"But dude have you seen them?" Liam asked resulting in another smack on the back of the head from Ryssa.
"Yes but she's my mom and that's gross," I said back.
After that whole conversation we decided to get in the pool. My mom had gotten out and put her shirt back on. Not because everyone was staring but because she didn't want to burn. She was always so oblivious to everyone staring at her. Like she was used to it or something.
"So who's up for a game?" Dacia asked.
We all groaned. I had only been present for one of her games but I had heard about all the others. Juliet had told me how they called her the game keeper. I wasn't in the mood to play a game. I just wanted some time alone with Juliet, which I knew was impossible in this house.
Later that night we were sitting by the fire pit. Everyone was singing and playing various instruments. Well everyone except me and Fender. I like Fender had not inherited my dad's musical talent. Juliet was sitting in between my legs and I leaned my head down so my lips were right by her ear.
"I love you," I whispered so only she could hear.
She turned her head to look at me and our lips touched. I kissed her lightly and rested my forehead on hers. I panicked for a second when she didn't say it back. Had I messed everything up by saying it?
"I love you too, Christian," she said back.
