JJ & Isabella:We can't live like this anymore

Context:JJ and his little sister Isabella are trying to run away from Luke but every time they do Isabella complains that she wants to stay with him. Isabella is 11 and JJ is 17

"Bella you shouldn't be walking your ankle is still healing." JJ said as he went to grab Isabella. "Put me down my ankle is fine." Isabella said. JJ put Isabella down and went into the kitchen. "What are you doing dads gonna be pissed that your throwing his beer away." Isabella said. "Well maybe if he didn't drink it he would actually love us." JJ said. "I'm going in my room you can get hit." Isabella said. Isabella walked to her room and then she shut the door. JJ kept throwing Luke's beer away until he heard Luke creep behind him. "Boy I know you're not throwing away my beer." Luke said. JJ didn't say anything so he just walked away. JJ shut his room door and Luke opened his door and they started arguing. Isabella heard everything and when she heard Luke slap JJ she snuck into the kitchen and called 911 off of Luke's phone. Isabella just sat in her room until she saw JJ come in with his face all bloody. "It's ok I called the police. They're on the way." Isabella said. "He's gonna be kill you for calling them." JJ said. "Well he was hurting you." Isabella said. "You little shit you called the cops." Luke said as he went into Isabella's room. "I heard you guys yelling and I" Isabella said before Luke punched her in the face. "Get your hands off of her." JJ said as he pushed Luke off of Isabella. "Outerbanks police department." A police officer shouted. Isabella got up and ran to the front door. Luke chased after her and as she opened the door he grabbed her and threw her at the wall. "Hands where I can see them." The officer said as he pointed his gun a Luke. Luke put his hands up and the officer arrested him. JJ came out of Isabella's room and he saw her on the ground. "Bella what's wrong with her?" JJ said as he went by her. "Your dad threw her and she hit the wall. "Is she ok?" JJ asked. "An ambulance is on there way but right now we need you to go outside and talk with the sheriff." The officer said. "I can't leave her I made a promise to my mom I wouldn't." JJ said. "Shes got bruises on her lower back and her stomach." An officer said. Another officer took JJ outside and helped him wipe some of the blood off his face. "My brother is he ok?" Isabella mumbled. "He's outside talking with some of the other officers." The officer said. "My back hurts." Isabella groaned. "Hey we can take it from here." A paramedic said. A paramedic went over by Isabella and helped her out. Isabella and JJ were taken to the hospital and they both had to talk with the police about what Luke did to them. "What's gonna happen with my sister?" JJ asked. "She'll be placed with a temporary foster family and so will you." The social worker said. "I can still see her right?" JJ said. "Depends on the family she gets." The social worker said. JJ just stopped talking and the social worker left. For the next few days JJ would visit Isabella until visiting hours were over. "JJ I know you haven't been staying with your new family but I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry about everything." Isabella said. "Sorry? sorry about what Belly?" JJ said. "He's in here." Isabella yelled. "Belly what are you doing?" JJ said. "Getting you help." Isabella said. "Help I don't need help. I need to be able to take care of my sister." JJ said. Right as Isabella was about say something the psychiatrist came into the room. "JJ she's nice and she helps all of the bad thoughts escape your mind." Isabella said. The psychiatrist took JJ to a different room so they could talk. Isabella was just sitting in the hospital room waiting to be released. Once she got released she waited outside of her new placement until she saw JJ running up the street. "Sorry it took me so long that psychiatrist lady kept giving me a bag of chips every time I told her about things dad did so I got you some chips." JJ said. "Thanks. You should meet my temporary parents they're really nice and I have a big sister." Isabella said. "Bella dinners read who is this?" A girl said. "Kie this is my brother JJ. JJ this is my "sister" Kiara." Isabella said. "Hi you can come inside too I'm pretty sure my parents will be fine with you eating too." Kiara said. "Ok" JJ said. Kiara went inside while JJ mouthed she's hot as he walked in with Isabella. "Bella this is your brother he's cute Kie you should take him to the midsummers dance we can buy him a tux to match your dress." Anna said. "Midsummers isn't that the kook party where pouges aren't aloud to go." JJ said. "Yea but we can make some changes this Sarah is bringing this guy named John B and Pope found a date her names Cleo." Anna said. "What about me who am I gonna hang out with?" Isabella said. "Wheezie she's Sarah's little sister she's super nice and she'll be in your class when you start school." Kiara said. "I'm 11 isn't she like 13 how are we in the same class?" Isabella said. "You're advanced for your age so they're letting you skip two grades." Anna said. "JJ are you going to school?" Mike said. "I'll just go into a trade." JJ said. "Well if you need help let us know. Did they find a new placement for you?" Mike said. "Not yet some foster parents don't like to take in teenagers but they're looking." JJ said. JJ finished his food and put his plate in the sink. "I have to head back to the center I'll see you" JJ said but was cutoff by the doorbell ringing. "I'll get it." Mike said. Mike opened the door and as he opened the door he got punched in the face. "You think taking in my little girl and making her live this rich life is what I wanted?" Luke said. "Dad leave him alone." Isabella said. "You little shit I know you didn't just talk back to me." Luke said. Isabella started to walk away when she felt Luke come up behind her. "Bells" JJ said. JJ went up to Luke and punched him. Luke tried to punch JJ but JJ punched him again. Isabella was hugging Kiara and Anna while Mike was trying to pull JJ off of Luke. JJ and Mike threw Luke outside and saw that the police were outside. JJ saw them and started to run. "No ahh." Isabella hissed as she felt a pain in her side. "Kie take her upstairs." Anna said. "Come on Bella." Kiara said as she walked upstairs. "Give me a second." Isabella said. Isabella started to cry as she went upstairs with Kiara and ever since that day JJ wasn't seen again.
