I reached the end of the street, and entered my house, the one to the left. Number 101. I smiled, taking in the old memeries that this house had made for me. Dan finally caught up, he put his hands on his knees and panted like a dog.
"This is where you lived?" He questioned, out of breath.
I smiled back at him and nodded my head.
"I use to live on the next street over," he smiled, his smile soon turned into a frown. "Wait a second, did you go to Hail Elementary school?"
"Yeah." I sadly stated.
His eyes popped out of his head, his face had 'guilty' written all over it.
"Whyy?" I questioned.
*Dans P.O.V*
"Whyy?" she asked me.
'Fuck.' I thought. I use to bully her in elementary school. My real name was David, but when I meet my group, I changed it to Dan, it sounded cooler. And even though it was only elementary school, I thought I was a tough little shit. I thought I was one of those popular guys that had any girl he wanted wrapped around his finger. I picked on anyone I could. Usually it was this geeky looking girl named Megan. Her hair was always in a pony tail, she had her hair clipped back and she always wore the geekiest things. My friends and I would laugh at how ridiculous she looked everyday, coming into school looking like that. I use to shove her into lockers, I made her hold my books to each classroom, whenever my friends were around I'd bully her even harder, calling her nasty names and pushing her around. But I mean, Megan looks way different now. Her blond beautiful hair seemed like it always fell perfectly past her shoulders. And those gorgeous blue eyes were a killer. The braces she once had were gone, and her teeth looked whiter and straighter than ever before. I cant tell her what I did to her. Not now anyways, she'd be pissed at me.
"My little sister use to go there, until all this shit happened." Was the excuse I came up with, so she wouldnt know that David was me. I was actually starting to have feelings for her. The way she kissed me hours ago, made my heart do things I didnt know it could do. The butterflys in my stomach told me that I was actually developing some sort of connection with her.
*Megans P.O.V*
"What happened to your sister?" I asked frightened that she might not have made it.
"I have no idea." he stated.
I gave him an understanding look, I mean I dont even know how my sister is doing. For all I know she could be dead.
Dan then notice the sad look upon my face, he gave me a hug and comforted me.
"It'll be okay Megan. I promise."
I hugged him back and nodded.
"Hey! Cheer up! Before those zombies entered the house, Mark was going to say that Emily ran away from the babysitter at a young age. Hoping to look for the whole family."
"She could still be out there?" I asked with a hopeful smile.
He gave me a reassuring smile back and nodded his head. Smiling, I turned around and opened the door.
"Be careful." Dan warned.
You could hear stuff being moved around upstairs. Carefully we walked into the kitchen to grab some huge butcher knifes that my mother bought but barely used.
Slowly, we walked up the stairs and towards the noise. The stairs creaked with every movement, which made the noise stop for a few seconds then continued at a faster pace. The noise was coming from Emilys old room. Looking up at Dan, I thought for sure that this was going to be Emily. I was worried she wasnt alive though. I began to hold tears back as I slowly opened the door to find a gun pointed to my head.
"Drop the weapon." She stated.
I gasped, shocked on who it was.
"Shit." I announced as I put my knife onto the floor. Dan did the same.
"Do you even remember me?" I asked.
