Blale was still talking to me about his stories, we would switch off, I would tell one then he would. But, he started to bring up Jess and how her real name was Tori.
"Or maybe her real name is Jess and her fake name is Tori?" He questioned himself outloud.
"Whichever one is her real name, the other is not."
I laughed, "Oh, really? You dont say." I continued to laugh.
I noticed he started to blush a little but he smiled back.
"Anyways," He wanted to continue, maybe this was his way to tell me to polietly shut the fuck up.
I sat up straight and curled my lips inward. Taking a "key" and "locking" my lips together. I then tossed it to the side.
He rolled his eyes with a big smile on his face.
"Jess was a part of my group before she disappeared. I think, not to sure about this one because we barely talked, but I think she had a brother?"
My eyebrows scrunched up together, "did she have anyone else there?" I questioned, already knowing about her uncle Mike.
"Maybe a father? Name was Mike I think?"
I explained to Blake that Mike was her uncle but when her father died he adopted her and became the father.
"It must be Tori then!" I exclaimed with excitment when I realized it had to be her.
"I also remember her having a boyfriend named Chet!" He yelled out.
I gasped taking all this information in about a girl I barely knew.
I heard someone cough next to us, not a real cough but an "hurry the fuck up cough". I looked over to see Cody standing to the right of us.
"Could you two stop gossiping about other people in the group?" He sneered.
"We're not talking about you man? We're ta-"
"I know who youre talking about. And I want it to stop." He demanded as he interupted Blake.
Blake just nodded his head quietly, giving up the fight.
What the fuck Blake? You dont have to listen to this guy? I started getting angry, I felt my blood boil as all of my hairs stood up on my arms, legs and neck; I scrunched my face up towards Cody.
"Fuck you." I mumbled under my breath.
"What was that sweetheart? Couldnt hear ya'." He chuckled.
I stood up, each step I took after that I got closer to this asshole. I glanced my eyes into his as I repeated, "Fuck yo-" A stining pain filled my body from head to toe. My feet couldnt stand anymore, I fell onto my knees while my hand cupped the left side of my face.
"WHAT THE FUCK DUDE!" I heard Blake stand up for me.
*Jessicas pov*
I closed my eyes real tight waiting for the pain to seep into my body as the bullet penetrated me. But, he missed?
"Damn it how did I miss!" His hillbilly voice echoed throughout the shed.
He cocked his gun again and began to point back at me.
I turned to face Mason, to ask for advice or help but he wasnt at my side anymore.
That fucker! I screamed in my head. Fucking little coward. I could have went alone today and I wouldnt be in this mess!
"Goodbye little girly." The old man stated as his finger moved onto the trigger.
"Fuck you old man!" I heard Mason scream from somewhere in the shed. I then caught a small glimpse of him jumping from the top floor onto his back.
Fightened the old mans finger slipped, the bullet came right for me but it only had skimmed the right side of my thigh.
The pain wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. It felt like a cat scratch? A very intense cat scratch. Or maybe an intense scratch on a sunburn?
"Jess!" I heard Mason scream. Looking up I saw that the old man had a knife and hovered above Mason.
I limped my way over behind the old man and dug my knife into the back of his skull.
"Thanks." Mason smiled. "Now, uhm. Help me get him off?" He sort of chuckled.
I gave him a grin before pushing the old mans dead body to the side and giving him a hand.
"Dont thank me." I said wiping off my clothes that now had blood all over them.
"Why not? Because I also saved you?" He elbowed me in the side.
"No, because if anyones going to kill you, its going to be me."
His face went pale white, "Are you being serious?" He sounded frightened.
"No, not at all. Thank you though for also saving me."
No, not at all? I laughed in my head. Thats okay, what he doesnt know wont hurt him.
I heard a loud sigh exit through his nose. Relieved that I'm not "going to kill him."
"I didnt do to well of a job, that bullet still technically hit you."
I looked at the side of my leg and chuckled.
"It doesnt even hurt."
*Dans pov*
My eyes slowly fluttered open, my muscles seemed to ache. Looking down at them I noticed I was tied to a tree a few feet above the ground so that walkers couldnt get to me. It was fucking painful to have a bunch of ropes holding you up, let me just tell you that.
My eyes glanced at each and every tree to find Mikes hammock. When my eyes caught sight of it way off in the distance, I wanted nothing more than to just get down from the tree and go kill this guy.
Megan? Wheres Megan. My mind wandered off as I looked throughout the forest.
"Megan?" I called out quietly.
No response.
Shit.
I started fiddling at the ropes and tried my best to get down.
My arms were wrapped behind the tree trunk and my legs were bent at the knee, tied at either side of the tree.
I then heard leaves crackle underneath the tree. Great zombies. Just what I needed.
Looking down I spotting Jess with a knife ready, limping and looking bloodier than ever.
"Hey Jess!" I got excited and yelled out. "Up here!"
She froze as her head moved side to side looking for my voice.
"Dan?" She questioned.
"Yeah, up here." I yelled down to her.
Her head shot upwards towards my direction and I saw a smirk on her face.
"Did Megan finally leave you here to die?" She chuckled.
"No, I dont think so." I tried to remember what happened.
"Then where is she?" Jess asked.
"I dont know?" I responded.
Jess rolled her eyes as she started to climb her way up the tree. Her knife was placed between her teeth as she wrapped her arms and legs around the trees trunk.
When she finally reached me, I thanked her as she cut me free.
"Now, lets go find Megan." I responded as our feet landed on the floor.
