I groaned out loud from the pain I felt when I woke up. My head was hurting, my side too, and my legs were sore from walking so much. Looking around the room I was now in I began to register what was happening. It all escalated so quickly.
'Where was I?'
I thought to myself.
'What even happened?'
My face scrunched up as I observed the room some more. It looked old and abandoned, the windows were dull and gray, and all of the walls were barren. It seemed pretty creepy in here, deja vu was hitting me pretty hard.
"Dan? Emily?" I whispered out so I wouldnt attract any unwanted guests.
"Megan?" I heard someone question back. The voice sounded like it was coming from the room next door to me, the one to the right.
Fortunantly, there was a door that combined our two rooms. I slowly got up from the uncomfortable plastic chair I sat in, and made my way over to the door. Reaching out slowly, I realized that something was trying to stop me. A voice in my head suddenly told me that it was a horrible idea.
'You didnt reconize the voice, why go through that door?
But, their voice was muffled, due to the walls that seperated us.
Maybe thats why I didnt reconize the voice?' I questioned myself, over and over again. Hoping to convince myself that I need to go through. Dan or not, someone alive is in there.
Finally, after arguing with myself, my hand landed on the door handle, slowly, carefully, I didnt want them to know I was entering. If it wasnt anyone from my group, I had to be careful.
The door creaked open, looking inside. There was no one there.
Am I going insane? I feel like I've been through this situation before.
Closing the door shut again, I walked over to the only object in the room. I sat back down in the little plastic white lawn chair, and tried to get as comfortable as I could. Suddenly, a switch was turned on and the empty room was now lit like a candle. The lights were as bright as the sun, you couldnt even open your eyes to see what was going on.
"Hello Megan, were going to ask you a few questions. Please cooperate with us." A mans deep voice echoed throughout the tiny room.
My confused face looked around the room, where was the voice coming from? Were these 'windows' really a double sided mirror?  Were they watching me?
"Who are you?" I questioned the mysterious voice.
"We will be asking the questions, not you." he steernly stated.
I just kept my mouth shut and waited for the questions to come.
"True or false." The voice boomed, "the zombie apocolypse happened when you were about twelve years old."
"True." I didn't need to lie to them. Lying would get me no where. They sounded persistant. Maybe its the government or someone important. I shouldnt get myself into any more trouble than I was already in.
"Okay, true or false. Have you killed any people during this tradical moment of time?"
Looking back on it, I have killed survivors. I wasn't proud of it but they were going to kill me if I didnt take action.
My heart was racing, blood started to boil. I wanted to tell the truth, but what if I got myself in trouble? What if this is the police? Running around trying to lock people up, even though theres a zombie apocalype happening.
"False." I stated nervously.
A long pause stirred around the room. Everything became still, and quiet.
Do they know I lied?
"Okay Megan, where's your family?" Sighing out loud, I was relieved that they started the next question.
"My parents went on a vacation before this, my brother was attacked by those creatures when this all started, and my sister was one of the girls in my group." I answered, trying to get straight to the point.
"I'm sorry about that Megan, but what if we told you that your family, your mother and father, were still alive?" They asked me.
This seemed all too familiar, this room, everything was happening in sync to something I have seen before. I tried to remember as a cold wind made me shiver. I'm inside of a building? How the hell would wind be able to reach m-.
Everything hit me, this place, I dreamt about it after I met face to face with Emilys babysitter!
It felt realistic this time around, I had to pinch myself to even see if all of this were real.
When I didnt wake up, I figured that it must be real.
"Where?" I questioned them, "Where are my parents?"
"They are safe. They have been living peacefully with other survivors in Ohio."
I couldnt believe it, my mouth dropped to the floor as I tried to process everything inside of my head.
"Who are you?" I questioned again hoping to get a response.
A long pause wandered the room as you heard a clicking noise of the door opening and a man appearing out of the shawdows.
"Hello Megan."
