And I promise I will start writing more and update quicker! The next chapter will be better. Im running out of ideas for each chapter 😭 I'll think of something though!

*Megans p.o.v.*
"I swear, it was an accident!" Jess screamed as she grabbed onto my ankles.
"Why are you talking about?" I asked confussed.
"I k-killed M-Mason." She could barely get out.
All I saw was her kneeling down next to his dying body, I didnt see anything else.
My mind couldnt process everything, I kind of stood in shock as Blake ran up to Mason and started to help him out.
"Megan! Megan! You have to help!" I heard Blake yell in slow motion.
Slowly I fell to my knees and tried to help stitch him up while Jess weeped over him repeating that she was sorry.
Soon Emily, Smidge, Dani and Dan came down the ladder to check things out.
Dan seemed a little more occupied with me then Mason dying.
"Megan! You're alive!" He screamed out as he ran over to hug me.
"Dan I'm busy." I said as I helped Blake pull out the string and dull needle from his pockets.
"Whose this?" He questioned with attitude.
"Not another one." Smidge sighed.
"What are you talking about 'another one'?" I questioned them as I cut the string with my teeth and passed it over to Blake so that he could tie the needle to it.
"Codys staying with us." Dan mumbled.
Honestly I hardly remembered Cody. I just know that him and Mason left me at that store to die. I promised Cody that he could come live with us but I didnt think they would even make it back home with the way things were going back at that fire.
"Cody?"
"The jerkbag." Emily responded.

*Dans p.o.v*
I couldnt believe my eyes when I walked to the front porch and looked down to spot Megan.
I climbed down the ladder as quickly as I could, making sure when I got to the bottom I would receive a hug at last.
"Dan im busy." She said rudely as she helped this other new boy with Mason.
It sucks that Masons hurt but he'll recover. He's a pretty strong dude.
"Whose this?" I asked with a little jealousy in my voice.
"Not another one." Smidge said right after me.
Megan seemed confussed as she looked up at us and asked what we meant.
"Codys staying with us." I tried to get out without sounding to upset.
She lifted an eyebrow as she finished helping this guy and thought for a moment.
"Cody?" She responded after a long pause of silence.
"The jerkbag." Emily sassed.
I'm glad Emily agreed with me on that one.
"We had a deal, okay?" Megan stated as she stood up and wiped the dirt off of her pant legs.
"Oh trust me. I know." I said crossing my arms.
"Dan, chill. We have other things that are more important than assholes." She glanced up at me with attitude in her voice.
I gave up with fighting with her. There was honestly no point, she wasnt going to change her mind about any of this.
"Hes all done. Would someone mind giving me a hand bringing him up to the treehouse?" The new boy asked the group.
I volenteered and grabbed onto his upper half as he grabbed his lower half. Megan and emily held onto each side, making sure he wouldnt fall.
It took us about an hour to get him up to the top. We should have made it a little easier to get wounded people up this ladder when we built it.
I guess we just werent thinking about anyone getting injured and actually making it back to the fort.
Setting Mason in his and Dani's room I laid on the couch and sighed loudly.
Megan walked right past me into our room and threw the sheet door to the side to pass through. After she did, the sheet fell back to its original place.
"Do you want me to talk to her?" I heard Cody laugh next to me.
"Fuck you." I responded quietly.
"Alright." He smirked evily and walked into our room.
I was anxious but I waited a few moments before slowly walking up to the door.
I hesitated for a second to hear Megan laugh while Cody followed with a chuckle.
What was happening? Megan usually wouldnt try to get involved with these types of people. I mean look at what happened to my group?
She destroyed them.
"Good news everyone. Mason will be fine!" Emily stepped out of the side room and announced.
