*Jessica's pov*
I knew something was wrong, yet again.
Megan was just gone for weeks, then volunteered to go out again just to grab some supplies? It doesnt make sense for her to keep going out. She obviously cant handle it if she never comes back on time. Just saying.
I tried to talk to Emily about how 'worried' I was about them. When in reality, I might have cared if Megan didnt come back home. But honestly I would probably get over their deaths pretty easily.
Wow, I sound horrible? Sorry.
"Hey. Uhm, sorry to bother you again but would you want to tag along with me to go looking for Megan?" I walked into Masons room again.
"Even if we went out there, we probably wouldnt find them." He responded.
Its getting dark, if they were okay they would be back by now. I stated inside my head.
He apparently saw the expression on my face, "dont look sad, I'm sure their okay."
"Mhm." I said with attitude.
He didnt say anything after that, he dug his face even more inside the book he was reading. Probably trying to ignore me so that I would walk away.
"Mason." I spoke up after a few minutes of me standing there silently watching him flip pages.
"Yes?" He said as he put his book down in his lap. "What do you want?"
"I'm leaving. Whether or not you join me is your choice." I stated steernly.
His eyesbrows raised as he chuckled.
"You? Out there alone? Okay Jess."
I shrugged my shoulders as I made my way back to the supplies box and grabbed whatever was left. It wasnt much, just a couple knifes and some unloaded guns which would totally help. Not.
"Wait, Jess." I heard Masons voice sigh.
"Yeeesss." I sang as I smiled.
"I'll come."
*Blakes pov*
I sat on the couch as the girl who hurt Mason walked past me towards a box in the corner.
"Wait, Jess." Mason called out.
"Yeeesss." She sorta sang back.
"I'll come."
I looked at Jess then Mason, "You'll come?"
"None of your buisness." Jess hissed at me.
I threw my hands up in the air, "alrighty then."
"Grab some shit and lets go then." Jess lead the way as she waited by the ladder for him to gather his stuff.
I know this seems crazy but Jess seemed familiar? I cant put my finger on it but she just had this certain vibe that made me want to know who she is or where I might know her from?
"Hey Jess, before this group where or what were you doing before?" I asked randomly.
I noticed Emilys face scrunched up next to me, probably wondering why I even cared.
"You dont need to know." She rudely scoffed.
I stood up off of the couch and walked up calmly to her. I threw my hands in my pocket and rocked on the heels of me feet.
"What are you do-"
"Sh." I quickly pulled my right hand up out of my pocket and pointed a finger near her mouth.
I squinted my eyes so that I could examine each and every detail on her face.
"I have to go." She spit out as Mason walked up next to us.
I chuckled as I made my way back to the couch. I plopped myself down next to Emily again.
"Good luck out there, Tori." I waved.
Her eyes almost popped out of her head before she shook the expression off of her face.
"My names Jessica." She scowled.
"Of course it is."
*Megans pov*
It seemed like we were waiting forever up in that hammock, but I wasnt complaining it was quite comfy. My hands were comfortably under my head as my eyes stayed shut. I was acting way to comfortable with this stranger, I probably should be on my toes but I was way to tired to even care.
"Ow! Stop touching it!" Dan suddenly screamed out in pain.
"Hold still I'm popping it back in place." The stranger rolled his eyes.
"Okay okay, hold on, not yet let me prepare myself for the bearing pain." Dan yelled out in fear.
The stranger shrugged his shoulders as he watched Dan sigh out relieved.
After a few minutes of Dan sighing in and out rapidly the stranger had this grand idea to just push his arm back together when he wasnt expecting it.
He screamed out in pain as I whinced at the sound of bones crunching together.
"There. All better." The stranger smiled.
Dan moved his arm in a circle a few times before giving him a dirty look.
"Am I going to get a thank you?" The stranger coughed out.
I rolled my eyes.
"Are we gunna get a name?" I asked.
He turned his head slowly towards me, "a name?" He sounded confused.
Rolling my eyes yet again I responded, "Your name, not that hard to understand."
"Dont be sassy with me, but the names Mike." He extended his hand towards me to shake.
I did the same as I intruduced myself, then Dan.
"Nice to meet you two, you guys have a camp?"
Dan and I looked at each other really quickly as he answered "yes."
"Awesome! Where?"
Dan was about to answer again but he didnt need to know that information. I stood up quickly and covered Dans mouth, "you dont need to know."
Letting go of Dans mouth he responded with a, "yeah what she said."
Mike let out a small chuckle, "Are you really going to listen to your sassy friend over here? I mean shes a woman. Youre a man Dan! You dont need a female telling you what to do."
Excuse him?! 'A female telling you what to do?!' What, did he grow up in 200bc? Woman have just as many rights as men do?!
"What?" I heard Dan say.
Good thing Dan knows this is wrong.
"Shes a woman." Mike laughed.
I could see the anger in Dans eyes. His fists balling up from the anger.
"Dan." I whispered, "Its wrong but its okay." I spoke softly.
"Fuck you." Dan hissed at Mike as he swung a fist at him, but he caught it.
"Nice try buddy." He smirked wickedly as he threw a punch at Dan, knocking him out instantly.
"Chill dude!" I yelled as I crawled my way over to dan to make sure Dan was okay.
I turned around only to be met by Mikes fist, my world went dizzy for a few seconds before it turned completely black.
