Everyone in that room wanted to kill Andrew. But when it actually happened, we all gasped shockingly. My sweet innocent little sister killed him like it was nothing. She took a life without even thinking about it. Isabella started working on Dans wound as best as she could, she took Andrews shirt and tied it firmly onto his knee to hopefully stop the bleeding.
We needed to get back to Amerie and the rest of them at the fort.
Morning was approaching us, the sun peeked over the hills and trees of the woods. Shinning us the way, for us to go. Emily and Jess helped me limp my way back, while Isabella and Smidge helped Dan limp back.
The long walk was brutal on my ankle, but I wasnt going to complain since Dans knee was pretty much gone!
I faught throught the pain until the end of the woods. A few zombies here and there walked by us but since the three girls were covered in zombie guts, and Jess had old zombie guts on her we made it out without any trouble.
Next stop was back to the fort.
*Masons p.o.v*
They cant just fucking come in and just shoot someone like that! They are suppose to be helping us! Not destroying us! Do they know whats out there? This isnt even our world anymore, its theirs!
Some of those bastards got behind us and held guns to our backs, telling us to walk forward.
I did what I was told but I didnt think it was right. As I exited the fort, I noticed everyone walking down the street. Dan and Megan seemed hurt. I gestered to them that it was not safe by taking my hand and moving it across my neck. They ducked behind some bamboo that was closeby and waited.
As we all stood outside they lined us up, the three of us stood side by side.
"Are there any more of you guys?" One swat member asked.
I immediately reacted and took charge for our group, "No sir, just us three."
Some of them laughed, "Boy, you couldnt have survived this long with only four members."
They didnt have to kill Melony, she might have talked for hours a day but it alway's kept your mind off of the whole people eating you thing.
I had to think of some lies fast, "Sir, we have had people come and go. This is all thats left of us." I tried to act sad, and as I looked over and Amerie and Kyle, they shook their heads and kept them looking gloomy. They were going along with my plan!
"We are the S.w.a.t team members, we have been going around, picking up any survivors that are worthy enough to join the team."
It made no sense to kill Melony, they could have had four members rather than three. I didnt know what to do honestly, I could either refuse and get shot down, or accept and have to leave the rest if the group.
Thats when I got another idea, "I'd join, but only on one condition."
All of the officers looked confussed, "Condition?" They asked.
"I know a group, down the street that has two wounded members. They also get to join." With that being said, you could see Emily and the rest of them scatter out of the bamboo and down the street to a nearby house.
"Where?"
"Down over in that house." I pointed out.
"This better not be a sick joke." One member called out.
"Oh, trust me sir. It wont be a joke."
*Megans p.o.v*
As soon as we heard 'I know a group', I got the memo. I let the others know quietly that we needed to go into one of the houses nearby, so that Mason could see us and lead them to us. They could possibly help us.
We bolted out of the bamboo into the street and followed it to a sidewalk.
We entered the house carefully, zombies might already own this house. Calmly we limped out way into the living room, Dan and I were set on the couch to look like we had been 'relaxing' and the girls went into the kitched to make everyone dinner for the night.
A loud bang then came from the front door, the S.w.a.t team kicked the door in and looked around for us.
"Hello? Anyone in here."
I began to cough, "In here." I tried to sound sort of sick to get their sympathy, but it didnt seem to work.
They made me get up, walk around the room, check for any bites or scratches, and test out my ankle to see what was wrong.
"She sprained it pretty bad." The officer holding my foot stated for the rest of them to hear.
"The boys knee looks pretty bad, but a few stitches will make him heal in no time." Another officer announced Dans injuries.
They then rustled through a bag for a while, until they found a needle and fishing wire.
Two officers made their way back over to Dan, kneeling down next to his knee and preparing everything on the table for the surgery.
"What!? Your going to do that right now?" Dan asked nervously.
"Do you want it to become infected? Hold still."
I reached my hand over to Dans and he gripped it tightly. I watched as the needle sunk into the lips of his skin, and into the other side of his knee. He squeezed my hand so hard that it was becoming blue and purple. He went to scream out in pain until someome put a cloth into his mouth to bite on.
All you could hear for the rest of the night was his mumbles of painful screams underneath that cloth.
